Chapter 29: The Hidden Message

Ethan's eyes scanned the room, his mind racing with the need to stay vigilant. They had been hiding out for hours, but he knew they couldn't stay here forever.

Sarah sat on the bed, her eyes fixed on her phone. "Ethan, I think I found something," she said.

Ethan walked over to her, his eyes locked on the screen. "What is it?" he asked.

Sarah showed him a message on her phone, a message from an unknown number. "I just got this," she said.

Ethan's eyes scanned the message, his mind racing with the implications. "This is from Alex," he said.

Sarah's eyes widened. "The mole?" she asked.

Ethan nodded. "He says he's sorry, that he was forced to work for The Syndicate."

Sarah's face was skeptical. "Do you believe him?" she asked.

Ethan hesitated, unsure of what to think. "I don't know," he said.

But as he looked at the message again, he saw something that made his heart skip a beat. A hidden message, encoded in the text.

Ethan's eyes locked onto the message, his mind racing with the implications. "Sarah, I think we have a problem," he said.

To be continued.
