Chapter 9

Erica applied the foundation on her face. She wasn't the kind that applied make up but due to the scar Mikel gave her. She had to.

All because he said he wouldn't go won't stop her. If she didn't go, she would lose. She can't.

She put on a black dress, it was simple yet gorgeous. She put on a red heel and carried a red back. Her hair was packed in a ponytail. She was gorgeous.

Mikel was in his room, his PA with him. John sighted Erica moving out of the mansion.

"Sir I think young madam is going out"

Mikel knew where she was going to. He didn't reply and continued swiping the files. He wasn't reading them.

"Sir won't you know where she's going?"

"Why should I?"

John kept quiet immediately, he didn't want to provoke this man not to loose his job.

Carolina was waiting for Erica but they was no sign of her. She was starting to get worried, if she didn't come, all her plan would be ruined.

Almost losing hope, she saw Erica who was looking all over the place. She was surprised at Erica's appearance. She was beautiful, she thought after getting kicked out, she would be miserable, even dressed so beautiful, Erica had suppressed her.

She put on a fake smile and walked up to her.

"Sis, you came"

Erica didn't return her smile.

"Oh you came alone, oh sorry I forgot, you don't have a boyfriend and the only one you had I took him from you, so pathetic" Carolina told her.

Erica finally smiled back.

"At least you took a burden away from me, you two are the same, a sister who gave her body to her older sister's boyfriend and her boyfriend who accepted it, you know you both are trash" she responded back.

"You!!" Carolina pointed at her but Erica didn't care.

"Oh you can keep on getting mad while I go enjoy the party" Erica said. As she was about to walk out.

She heard her father's voice.

"Erica"

"Evening Mr Harwood" She called him coldly.

Her father had bewildered eyes and couldn't believe her.

"Mr Harwood? What happened to Dad?, Are you so ungrateful you would disregard me by calling me my name?"

"What's the use? Even if you don't want to say it, you've abandon me, so you can be with your mistress and promiscuous daughter" she told him.

Mr Harwood raised his hand to slap her but she held it.

"I'm not the Erica you know, I've changed and I won't let you people pull me down" she flinched his hand and walked out.

The MC who didn't know what was happening ushered the two new couples to dance.

Carolina who was annoyed had to put on a fake smile. She danced with Adam.

Erica was sitting down, she was watching them, she was hurt but had to put herself together. She still hoped Mikel comes.

Carolina was on the verge of making sure she hurt Erica. She became intense with the dance.

Erica knew what she was trying to do, so she didn't look away because she knew if she did, Carolina would win. She looked at them both smiling.

When the music ended, the congregation clapped. Carolina was annoyed she didn't achieve it.

She still had a lot of motives. She walked up to the stage.

"I have a very big announcement. Erica, my sweet sister, I'm so happy you came to my engagement ceremony, without you this would have been so lifeless but it's so sad you aren't the one getting married to Adam, you know you caused your downfall, getting entangled with another man while already engaged, you could have held yourself, if you knew you loved the man and not Adam, you should have gone to him rather than cheating, I know you all wanna watch it and I have the video clip with me, please insert it "

Erica was flabbergasted, how did Carolina hold the clip,so this was her plan, she shouldn't have come but it was now late.

The video started playing,the sounds of moans echoed around the room.

"Faster " she urged Mikel. His face wasn't bright enough, so they didn't know who it was.

"Why playing the romantic scene with I and my wife " Mikel voice was heard around the room.

"Wife?"

" is that not Mikel Andrei?"

"Is he married to Erica?"

Questions echoed around the room.

"Who are you?" Carolina asked

"Who doesn't know me in this country is missing a lot" he told Carolina.

"That's Mikel Andrei dear" her father told her.

"You can't be serious" she said.

"Since you already know who I am, I ask again why playing the video of I and my wife"

"Wife? You can't possibly be married to Erica?" Mr Harwood said

"And who are you to judge my decision" he pulled Erica close to him wrapping his hand around her waist.

"Oh hubby you are here" she told him. This is her time, she has to act wise.

"What did they do to you?" He asked.

"They all wanted to bully me if not that you came at the right time, I want you to teach them a lesson"
