"they all want to bully me if not that you came at the right time, I want you to teach them a lesson"

"Bully you? Who dare try bullying you?" He asked furiously.

Mr Harwood who was scared,ran to him and fell on his knees.

"Please forgive us, I never knew she was your wife, if I....

"Even if she wasn't, you'll rather bully her (he chuckled) I remove and cancel all the investments I've done with your company, so as the AN group of the Cole family"

"Please Mikel, you can't do this, please, my company will be in ruins " Thompson pleaded.

"Then you should have thought before bullying my wife" Mikel fired.

"Erica please tell him, I'm your father, are you so shameless you won't do anything, his putting an end to the company "

"Why should I plead for you, when I pleaded for you to love me, you shun me like a ghost and now I'm on top you remembered me as your daughter " she giggled out.

"Let's go hubby " she wrapped her hand around his arm as they walked out.

"Erica!!! How dare you!!!" Carolina rushed towards her but Mikel was fast and pushed her. Carolina fell hard on the ground and fainted.

"Carolina!!" Adam and Adele shouted rushing towards her .

Erica thought she had done too much, she wanted to meet her but Mikel drew her out.

Erica was in the car.

"Why did you want to do that? You wanted to go save her?"

"She's my sister, even if we are step siblings we still share the same blood" Erica defended.

Mikel didn't say anything and continued steering.

"Why did you come? I thought you said you weren't coming?" She asked him.

"I thought about it and I made a promise even if i was mad" he replied.

"Thank you, you really helped me, I owe you one"

"No you owe me a lot" Mikel told her.

Erica bit her lips. A lot?

Arriving at the mansion. Mikel didn't say a word to her and went upstairs.

Erica thought this man really had bad mood wings.

She also went to her room and remembered everything that happened today. She was grateful he came.

She remembered what he said about she owing him a lot. Well since she does. She has to start repaying them.

The next morning. Erica did as she promised. She woke up very early and prepared breakfast for him.

Immediately she was done, she saw Mikel coming down.

"Good morning" she greeted.

"What are you doing?" He asked her.

She was annoyed he didn't even respond to her greeting .

"I prepared breakfast for you" she told him.

"You know how to cook?" He asked.

"Yes even if I came from a rich family, I was trained from a very young age, I had to cook for my step mom,dad and sister, washed my sister's clothes even if we have maids to do this, she went to privileged schools, I went to public schools" She told him.

Mikel looked at the woman in front of him.

"Let's forget that, come and eat" she pulled him to sit on a chair.

Mikel tasted the food, it was delicious.

Erica looked at his face seriously to know his reaction.

Mikel noticed it and coughed.

"It's ok"

"Okay? Just okay? I really tried hard cooking all this" she was hurt by his response.

"It was okay, what do you expect me to say, I'm late for work"

Erica was pissed off. She headed up when she heard his voice.

"It was delicious" he told her.

She turned back at him smiling.

"Are you going to work today?" He asked.

"Yes why asking?"

"I want you and I to go together"

Erica was shocked, together?. No everyone would know they married.

"No don't stress yourself"

"Are you refusing me?" He asked in a deep voice.

"Yes, no...yes, no, it's just that I haven't bathed and if you wait you'll be late"

"I can wait" he responded.

Erica gave up and went upstairs to take her bath, she intentionally took long but when she went down, she still saw him looking at her with cold eyes.

"Are you done?" He asked.

"Yes" she expected him to leave but he was still waiting. She bit her lips in frustration.

They walked out the house and into the car.

Carolina was admitted into the city life hospital.

Adele was worried about her daughter.

"If anything happens to my daughter, I won't spare that bitch!" She said

"Thompson who was still shocked didn't say anything.

Adam was worried himself.

The doctor finally came out.

"How's my daughter? " Adele asked.

"She's fine, she's awake, you can go see her " the doctor said and walked out.

Erica and Mikel arrived at the office . Her fellow workers eyes were on her.

She hoped they just took it like that scenery where the boss just took his worker to work but it was hard to believe because of his cold attitude.

Mikel had already gone to his office, she was now in hers. She heard a knock and told the person to come in. It was that guy from earlier.

"Hey what are you doin my office? Do you need help with anything?" She asked.

"Well yes, I wanted to ask if you be would join me at lunch later today"

Erica kept quiet, he wasn't asking her out just lunch.

"Uhm..I don't know"

"Please" he pleaded and she nodded.

"I can't believe Erica is married to Mikel mom, why is she the only one who is lucky* Carolina said. She immediately noticed Adam's presence.

She started crying.

"Don't cry" Adam told her.

"I feel so sad, on my engagement day, it's the most embarrassing thing that has happened, I wished I just died"

"Don't say that" Adele said.

"Dad please do something".

"Yes Tom" Adele persuaded.

"Mikel had withdraw his company so as the Cole's family, I can't fight against him but I'll try my best, Erica will regret what she did" Thompson said.

"Yeah, I told you nothing happened, I'll talk to you later"

Erica was talking to Stephanie who was asking if Mikel did anything to her. Erica had to lie, she didn't want to tell Stephanie and be a burden to her. During school days, she was the weak one and Stephanie was otherwise, she protected her from the bullies but now she has to be strong.

She heard a knock.

"Come in"

It was the guy again.

"Hey, hope you didn't forget the lunch you promised to go with me?"

"oh yes" she stood up closing the files in front of her.

"Let's go" she said.

"Sir young madam is going out with Adrian Peterson" his personal assistant told him.

"Find out everything, the restaurant, their conversation, everything"

"Yes sir " John bowed and walked out.

"Wow the food here are delicious " Erica complimented.

"Yeah..I didn't get your name?"

"Erica "

"Nice name, Adrien, my name is Adrien" He replied.

"Nice meeting you Adrien" she told him.

He smiled at her.

After eating, they went back to the office. She had a lot of paperwork, so she started immediately.

She was done exactly the closing hour.

She was so exhausted , so she rested her head on the table and fell asleep.

Up to an hour of sleeping, she felt a hand tapping her shoulder. She opened her eyes drowsily. It was Mikel.

"Let's go" he said.

She didn't argue with him and stood up obediently.

While in the car. Mikel asked her.

"Who were you with during lunch hours?"

"Huh?"

The question stung her like a bee .

"I hate repeating myself "

"I was alone" she lied because she knew Mikel would overreact.

"Or you were with your lover?"

Erica had bewildered eyes. Yes she went out with someone but not her lover.

"No I said I was alone"

Mikel grabbed her chin

"I hate lies, I ask again where were you?"

"No where" she replied looking at his enraged eyes.

"Since you won't be honest, get out"

"What?" She was surprised. He can't possibly kick her out. It was late at night.

"I said get out"

Erica bit her lips and got out of the car. Mikel drove off, the breeze hitting her face.

Soon after a car stopped right in front of her. She didn't know who it was.
