chapter 11
A car stopped in front of her. The car mirror steered down. It was Adriane.
"Come in" he told her
"What are you doing here?" She asked him. She didn't expect him to be here today.
"Nothing, that's not important, let me take you home " he said.
She entered his car.
She didn't talk to him throughout the drive, even Adrian knew she wasn't ready to talk.
He arrived at the penthouse. Erica got down. Adrian also.
He walked up to her holding her shoulder.
"Be careful"
He then hugged her.
Erica walked in. The whole house was dark with a little dim of light.
She walked up to her room.
She took her bath, she had a towel wrapped around her chest.
Soon after, her door was pushed open, Mikel came in holding her hand very tight. After leaving her, he still came to her room
"Let go of me" she yelped
"Your lover boy brought you home, isn't he the one you had lunch with?"
"Since you already know, let go of me " she told him.
Mikel pushed her , Erica fell on the bed.
"You still have the gut answering me? Am I not enough for you? I'm your husband but you go out cheating around with other men " Mikel accused.
"We just went out for lunch "
"Really? Or you didn't commit anything?" Mikel asked coldly.
"I'm not like that, if someone has done it to you doesn't mean I will" she replied him.
"You dare talk to me that way "
Erica didn't reply him. What she saw him doing next was removing his hoodie. She was bare.
"What are you doing?" She asked in a panicked.
"Since other guys dick satisfies you, why don't mine "
He held her down battling with removing her dress which he finally did.
This was the worst night for Erica.
"Please let me go " she pleaded.
He finally pulled it off. He himself was nude. He didn't caress her like other couples but thrust into her
Erica moaned. She felt the pleasure but she couldn't help but cry, this was forcefully.

The next day. Erica woke up very tired. Holding her sore forehead, last night incidents flushed into her head.
It has already happened, so what's the use now
She can't possibly be crying. She got down, Mikel had already gone to work.
She took her bath. As she was bathing, she saw the bruises she had on her neck, face, even her lips when he was kissing her forcefully.
She didn't want to cry but the tears flowed silently. She couldn't take it anymore, the sobs came slowly.

Erica was now in the office. She was stopped by Adrian who noticed her swollen face and red eyes.
"Are you ok? I couldn't get your contact, I was worried about you yesterday"
"I'm fine, thanks for your concern" she told him. This guy was also part of her pain now, she wanted to stay away from him.
She walked away but he held her hand which she flinched away immediately.
She thought she had already got away from her problem until another came.
Natalie, one of the workers who had been obsessed with Mikel for a long time. Tried everything to get his attention but failed. Seeing Erica, she feels threatened.
"Isn't it the newbie, you should be grateful, sir didn't kick you out yesterday but don't think before he forgave you, your free, just know this is your worst nightmare"
Erica didn't reply her. She kept quiet looking at her. This Natalie is just like a pest. She wanted to walk past her but Natalie held her hand. Erica defensively pushed her, Natalie fell hard on the ground.
"Don't ever touch me again" she said and walked out.

Carolina had already been discharged from the hospital. She was in Adam's bedroom with him. They just had a steamy night together but still her mind was flooded with Erica who had become prosperous.
"Babe what are you thinking about?"
"Erica, I wonder how she can be so rich and married to Mikel"
"Don't think much about that, it has happened and there's nothing we can do" Adam said pulling her down.
"No I can't just let this out of my mind. I'm confused, what if she hired him to act as her husband"
It has already happened, so what's the use now

Erica was having pains all over her body. She was tired and looked dull. She was about placing her head on her desk when John came telling her Mikel asked of her.
What would he want from her after hurting her all over yesterday. She stood up and walked out his office tiredly.
She knocked at the door.
"Come in" she heard his cold voice.
"You called for me" she saw him sitting on a sofa.
"Yes, I want to know how you are feeling after yesterday's adventure" he asked smirking.
Erica knew he was adding salt to her wounds but she won't let him win.
"I've learnt my lesson, I won't lie to you again"
Mikel smiled changed, he expected her to argue or shout at him.
He stood up, walked up to her and punched the wall. She was between him and the wall.
"Oh then my wife won't mind me kissing her"
Immediately he said it, he landed the kiss on her lips. Erica had bewildered eyes. He kissed her aggressively but passionately.
Erica closed her eyes taking in all the pressure. She didn't even know when she started to reprocraite his kiss.
