11. I HATE HORROR MOVIES

Two weeks has passed by after the emergency at the office. The guilty person has been apprehended and Vincent having more time at the house than in the office since he didn't have to be there every day.

As promise to hang out with Jae Won. Vincent called doctor Charles to check when he is free. Now the day has been scheduled, Vincent happily went to inform Jae Won but looked unhappy. He wanted to hang out with Vincent only.

The scheduled day arrived, Vincent and Jae Won already prepared themselves for the day. Vincent came down the living room waiting for Jae Won who has surprisingly not come down when he was the first person to finished dressing up. "Jae, what are you up to, we are gonna be late" Vincent asked looking towards the direction Jae Won would be coming from "and we have more things to do" he continued. "I'm coming, just a second" Jae Won replied. He was busily trying to look good and smell nice for Vincent. His hard work paid off actually, he came down with a beaming and beautiful smile that got Vincent hooked on it, he had no idea why he couldn't take his eyes off Jae Won's smile but something brought him back to reality, the perfume of Jae Won "what's that smell" Vincent asked snapping from his dream turning towards Jae Won who seemed afraid of Vincent comment "uurrrm…it…it's my perfume" he murmured. "You smell nice, now come on let's go. Charles might be waiting" he said heading out of the mansion.

They left the house heading towards the Makola Market that morning. In about fifty minutes, they got to Makola market. Charles already waiting for them. "What took you guys so long" he asked. He moved away from his already parked car making a way for Vincent to park theirs.

They headed into the market watching the market men and women busily making their sales. Jae Won couldn't take his eyes off one particular thing that got his attention. He walked slowly alerting Vincent and Charles to turn their head to Jae Won at the same time. "What uuurm, did I did ask of his name" he turned asking Vincent. Vincent laughed "I don't think you asked of his name" he retorted making Charles guilty.

Charles walked back to Jae Won asking of his name. With Jae Won mentioning his name "I think it's gonna take a while for me to pronounce that" he said with beaming and shy smile. "What were you looking at by the way " he continued. Now Jae Won's attention was brought back to what he was looking at.

Jae Won turned to look at what got his attention in the first place. It's a vendor standing at the corner of a stall selling cooked eggs with grind pepper. What really caught his attention was how the vendor put the grinded pepper into the sliced already shelled boiled egg. "What's that" Jae Won asked pointing to the vendor. They all moved to the vendor and asked her to shell three eggs for them.

Jae Won stared at those two who put the full eggs in their mouth including the pepper "isn't it hot" he asked but their reaction made him curious to try it. Jae won put half of the sliced egg in his mouth. Before Jae Won finished his first egg Charles and Vincent were on their fourth. His reaction made those two burst out laughing uncontrollably. They paid the vendor moving on.

They walked through the market which is in the heart of Accra. Looking at the traditional clothing and handmade crafts, especially the wood carvings of a man playing the traditional drum caught Jae Won's attention. This made made Vincent bought the carving bargaining like his life depended on it.

"You seem good at bargaining" Charles asked Vincent who smiled "if you don't bargain well enough, you will buy three times the actual amount" he said with a smirk around the corner of his lips. "My mum thought me that" he continued.

After walking through for a while they went ahead to eat "waakye", Jae Won's favorite. "Let's go to another place" Vincent suggested. That is when he saw some wrist traditionally beads and thought it would look good on Jae Won and told them to go ahead to wait by the car. After he saw they had left, Vincent approached the man "how much" he asked. Looking at one particular bead. "It's fifty cedis" he said. He asked if he could do a quick one for him with a name. The man agreed but increased the amount to a hundred cedis.

Vincent knew he has to bargain but didn't understand why he paid without the thought of bargaining. He took his bead and put it in his pocket running to them. "Let's go to the "Ghana Museums an…" he was cut off when questions came flying in the sky "what were you doing" "why were you late" he was questioned at the same time. He paused touching the bead that made him late " well I'm here now, let's go before we lose out the fun" he said.

They went to the Ghana Museums and Monument Board. "I've wanted to go watch our artifact but hadn't gotten the chance" he said to Jae Won while Charles looked confused "why is that" Charles asked. He smiled at Charles explaining how these artifacts provide valuable insights into the past, revealing information about people's he had never met lives, traditional and even technologies. He said in English obviously making Jae Won understood their conversation and also got them thinking while looking through these old historical, cultural, archeological and artistic artifacts surrounded them.

Vincent couldn't help but smiled widely making those two really confused about the feelings bottling in him they have no idea. Vincent breathed in and out now back to his usual self. " where should we go again" he asked the two who turned to look at each other with absolutely no idea where to go.

"Okay, since you guys have no idea where we should go, how about we go the cinema" he suggested with smile lurking around around the corner his lips waiting to open them. Those two couldn't resist that smile and agreed to it. They went to the Silverbird Cinema which is located at the Accra Mall. They went ahead to look through the movies to be premiere. They all chose one movie and since it was not yet time they decided to go shop a bit.

Walking through the mall made Jae Won nostalgic. He used to go the mall with his boyfriend on weekends. Where Jae Won help him shop for the week with him sitting in the cart while his boyfriend put the goods inside. Jae Won was out of this world where he felt a touch and a shake drifting him from his day dream "welcome back" Charles said to Jae Won with a smile before he could even think of an excuse "how was your journey" Vincent asked smiling like a fool but curious what got him thinking.

They looked through the mall and bought some few stuffs making use of the time they had. Jae Won moved to the perfume sides looking through. Vincent approached him "do you want a particular one" he asked. "Yeah I wanted to buy this for you but realized I don't have money" he replied. This melted something in Jae Won's heart opening some feelings he did not understand. "See, my heart is beating unsual again" Vincent said beating his chest like he has choked on something moving towards to Charles for medical treatment I guess.

This kept Jae Won thinking "is he really sick or is it what I think it is" he thought but smiled at his last thought. Jae Won checked his time and call out those two who was arguing of a football match that happened last last night. Jae Won was surprised because Vincent just left him a few minutes ago and ended up chatting about a football game. This reminded him of the day Vincent almost hit him with his car and the security guards who were arguing about football. This got him smiling looking back.

Jae Won cleared his throat alerting them it's time for the movie pointing to his watch. Charles and Vincent checked the time the same time "oh it's time" Vincent said while holding Jae Won hand to the counter to pay fo the goods they took.

Charles insisted on paying since Vincent had been the one doing the payment from morning. He gave up the payment, held Jae Won hand through the entrance waiting for Charles. A few minutes later, Charles came out with the goods and they headed towards the cinema.

They got there only for Jae Won to realize it was a horror movie "wait it's a horror movie" he asked looking at both of them with puppy eyes. "Why, you afraid of horror movies" Vincent asked almost about to laugh with Charles. But their laugh was cut short when they heard "I'm not afraid, but I hate it" he said with blood almost gushing out of his body with anger drawn on his face making those two scared for their life.

"AND WHY IS THAT?" they asked.
