Things have been hectic. You can imagine just how much damage Miles and Ruby's dating scandal has done to both families. Left and right, more ridiculous speculations are coming out online by those online trolls.
More articles and ragebait videos about how the 22 year old A-list model, Ruby, is just taking advantage of a 19 year old senior high-school boy.
I decided to go downstairs when Father's angry voice was heard from my room. Now, this should be fun. It'll be my first time witnessing Mum and Dad getting mad at their darling Ruby.
"What is wrong with you?!" Warren glared at Ruby.
"You need to calm down, dear." Annie said.
"Calm down?! She's the reason we're now the laughing stock everywhere. Just what were you thinking stooping so low as to have that excuse of a relationship with a child!" Warren was fuming.
"He's not a child." Ruby replied.
"So, you can speak back, huh?" Warren asked.
"Ruby, shut it." Annie said.
"I don't know why y'all are making a big deal out of this. We're both adults who are in love. Is being in love a crime now?" Ruby stood up from her kneeling position.
"You seriously call that love? I'm disgusted." Annie said.
Ruby chuckled. "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. What's so different about my love story when it's the same as yours?"
A resounding slap was heard across the living room.
"How dare you!" Annie yelled.
Ruby scoffed. "So much talk about being disgusted when you and Father did the same thing. I'm out of here."
Ruby glared at Mum and Dad before storming out of the house. My parents were really taken aback by what just happened. They quietly retreated to their bedroom, and so did I.
The next morning came by pretty quickly, and obviously, everyone at school already knew. Everyone was talking about it. Someone yanked my arm from behind as I walked through the hallway.
"You did this, didn't you?" Miles was fuming.
"You sure you wanna do this here?" I asked.
Miles chuckled. "Why not? Everyone should know just how much you hate your sister to go to this extent."
"I'm not behind this. But I'd be lying if I said I'm not relieved that this has happened."
Miles glared at me one more time before entering our classroom. So much for a good start to my day.
Safe to say, my day didn't go too well. My two best friends were absent from school, which meant I had to be stuck alone during lunch break. It sucked.
