I'll never forget that twilight in the rehearsal room, when Nash walked towards me, bathed in the golden light. He was absolutely radiant.
"Callie, I'm Nash, the piano accompanist."
I was stunned for a moment before quickly returning his smile.
"Hi Nash, I'm Callie. I play violin accompaniment."
He smiled as soon as I finished speaking.
"I know your name, freshman representative."
Ah, I couldn't help but feel embarrassed. Of course, he had just said my name, hadn't he?
Seeing my discomfort, he continued, "Your opening speech was really well-written."
I softly replied "Thank you," but inside, fireworks of excitement were exploding, even brighter than the sunset's glow.
From that day on, we truly got to know each other and gradually became more familiar.
We exchanged Instagram handles, sometimes arranging rehearsal times, discussing accompaniment issues, and occasionally receiving a "Want to grab a late-night snack?" message.
