a fanfic of storyline of the famous game undertale that reworks alot of the storyline with a expansion beyond the game. this storyline has 2 main characters, chara and sans with the story changing perspectives regularly to show both sides of the storyline.


this is just a fanfic and I don't own any of the game characters included in the story.

undertale: path of renewal

Inside a lit room, chara wakes up in a bed clutching her head, a pained expression on her face as she mutters.

Chara: oi guide, you said that it was safe... If you don't give me answer I might as well rebel.

A floating appears next to her, circling around before stopping in front of her face.

Guide: I said it was safe not that it will painless.

The words make chara shrudders as she remembers how she killed the loving goat mother she had again and again. Cursing the puppeteer from her heart she talks to the guide.

Chara: tell me how much time that trick bought us.

Guide: that stunt bought us about twelve years and 7 months.

Chara: that is enough, I will make sure that bastard never touch a hair of my family again.

Frisk: don't forget me in your chit-chat.

Frisk's voice rings in her head as she tries to stand up only for her to be unable to muster any strength and falls back the bed.

Chara:I hate this *a annoyed expression and tone* how much time will it take us to recover from the backlash?

Guide:based on my calculations it will be somewhere between 3 days to 1 week.

Chara:oi frisk you take over I am going to sleep.

Chara's red eyes turns green as her whole personality changes.

Frisk: took her long enough to switch.

Chara: cause I am better and your a substitute.

Chara's voice fades back into the head and a half goat humanoid being with a purple robe enters.

Seeing the child is awake, toriel comes next to bed and puts her hand on the child'forehead.

Toriel: You are finally awake little one! My name is toriel the guardian of this ruins.

Toriel: don't be nervous little one, I won't hurt you. You must be hungry after sleeping for the entire day,so eat this*takes out two pies butterscotch and chocolate* this one is butterscotch and the other is chocolate.

As soon as the word chocolate was said, chara's voice comes back ringing in the frisk's head.

Chara: *in frisk's mind*switch with me bucko!

Chara:*in mind* TAKE THE CHOCOLATE ONE.

Frisk:* in mind* b-but I like butt-terscotch.

Chara: *in mind* if you don't switch you can have fun alone when sans come and blasts you to death.

From both fear and annoyance, first asks toriel.

Toriel: sure*puts both pies to side* tell how you got here first.*pats frisk's head*

Toriel: oh, another unfortunate child... Do you miss your family?

Frisk: *with a saddened expression* I got no family.

Toriel: oh poor child *hugs frisk* don't worry,you can stay here with me.

Frisk hugs back and after a few moments let's go.

Toriel: as you would like.*stands up and leaves the room*

Frisk: and you have gotten more evil... And stop calling me bucko we are 25 old already.

Chara: soul and wise yes, but the body is still a child's. After I get out of the ruins I am using some of the good karma to increase this body's age.

Chara: I mean Imagine it, a tall beautiful lady beating sans up, imagine his expression when he sees us twice his height.

Frisk: that does sound good. Guide how much will it cost to increase out body age to match or mind?

Guide: it will take about 7000 points out of the current 100000. And also the soul Tag system has also chosen it's host somewhere in monster kingdom.

Chara: FINALLY, we got a ally. Oi frisk eat your pie already and switch I am dying her.

Both frisk and chara eat their chosen pies and went to sleep.
