Chapter 10: Truth Revealed

Chapter 10: Truth Revealed.

Reggie's eyes widened as he stared at Emma in shock. "You stole the necklace?" he asked, his voice barely a whisper.

Emma's eyes widened and she nodded slowly. "I'm sorry, Reggie," he said, his voice shaking. "I didn't mean to hurt anyone. "I just give up."

Reggie describes himself as a gentle person. "Have you given up yet?" he repeated. "What do you mean?"

Emma took a deep breath. "I've been struggling financially for a while," he said. "I couldn't pay my bills and I almost lost my house. And then I saw the necklace. It just stood there, shining in the light. "I knew it was valuable, and I thought if I could sell it, I could pay off my debts and start a new life."

Reggie's eyes froze. "But why did you bring Archibald into this?" he asked.

Emma's eyes widened with anger. "I didn't involve him," he said. "He involved me, he found out about my financial problems, and he offered to help me. He said he would buy me a necklace and give me money to pay off my debts. But I didn't know he was planning to use the necklace to cheat." "Henry."

Reggie's eyes widened in surprise. "Extortion?" he repeated.

Emma nodded. "Yes," he said. "Archibald discovered a dark secret from Henry's past and used the necklace as a way to silence Henry."

Reggie's mind raced. He suspected there was something bigger than meets the eye behind this case, but he never imagined it would involve betrayal. Just then, Detective James entered the room, a determined look on his face. "We have Archibald under arrest," he said. "And we have enough evidence to prove that he is the mastermind behind the theft and treason."

Reggie's eyes lit up with joy. "That's good news," he said.

Detective James nodded. "Yes," he said. "But we still need to find a way to get the necklace back. Do you have an idea, Reggie?"

Reggie thought for a moment. "I think I might have an idea," he said. "Let me call."

Reggie pulled out his phone and dialed a number. After a moment, he spoke into the phone. "Hello, Mr. Smith? I'm Reggie. I think I know how to get that necklace back..."

As Reggie spoke into the phone, Emma stared at him, her face filled with emotion. He was relieved that the truth had finally come out, but he was also worried about what would happen to him next.

When Reggie ended the call, he turned to Emma. "It will be good," he said. "We will provide the help you need and ensure that you are protected from Archibald's betrayal."

Emma's eyes filled with tears. "Thank you, Reggie," he said. "I'm very sorry for what I did."

Reggie smiled. "I apologize, and that's important," he said. "Now let's focus on getting the necklace and bringing Archibald to justice."

As they left the room, Reggie couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. The case was finally solved and justice would be served.

But as they left the house, Reggie noticed something strange. Someone was lurking in the shadows, watching them.

Reggie's eyes froze. Who were these strange men and what did they want?

As they approached the figure, Reggie realized it was none other than Lucy's brother Jack.

"Jack, what are you doing here?" Reggie asked in surprise. Jack smiled. "I've been watching you, Reggie," he said. "I know you're doing something big, and I want to see it with my own eyes."

Reggie's eyes widened. "You're watching me?" he repeated.

Jack nodded. "Yes, I do," he said. "And I must say I'm impressed. You're a good detective, Reggie."

Reggie smiled. "Thanks, Jack," he said. "But next time, ask me what happened. "I don't like being followed."

Jack laughed. "I'm sorry, Reggie," he said. "I'll remember next time."

As they left the mansion, Reggie felt happy. The case was solved and the truth had finally been revealed.

But as they approached the car, Reggie realized there was another mystery to solve. Who wrote that strange note that started it all?

Reggie's eyes froze. He was determined to find out.
