Originally, this was supposed to be a prologue—for this fic I have in mind. I wanted some exposition that felt like canon but got completely flipped on its head… yet somehow still weirdly the same. Then I stepped back and went, Wait. This kinda works as a one-shot too. So, what’s it about? (non-spoilery plot tease) Oh, just tweaking canon, making it a little darker. At first, it’s mostly Harry and the fragment of Voldemort’s soul (let’s just call it Fragment). The Battle of Hogwarts is still raging in the background, but the real focus? Dumbledore. Doing his thing. Being questionable. Because, let’s be real, that side of him was just waiting to be dragged into the spotlight again. And then the pace shifts. A bit of a cooldown, a few side character moments, a breath before the storm. And then—BOOM—Dumbledore steps forward. Wait, what? How could she? Oh, and he? And suddenly—whoosh—someone yells “Never!” Roar. Flash. And Harry? Thrown straight into an epic, dramatic finale—the kind that practically demands a time-travel twist. That’s the vibe. PS: A peek into my writing process (aka total chaos) Honestly, I wrote this in one day (for fun, obviously), spent another day editing, then had a full-on existential crisis about whether to post it. Two days of overthinking later—boom, translation time (because, plot twist, English isn’t my first language). Cue the mini meltdown, dramatic internal screaming ("WE NEED A COVER!"), and a final moment of clarity a week later: "Screw it, just yeet it onto the internet." And now? Now I’m probably staring at my screen, regretting everything. Anyway, enjoy.
