"Thanks."
Hearing Renkai's promise to protect Earth, Kami let out a deep breath of relief. As long as Renkai was around, there would never be another Piccolo Daimao-level catastrophe threatening the planet. It was reassuring to have someone with such immense power willing to defend this world.
Ding! Acquired Super Explosive Wave!
Ding! Acquired High-Speed Movement!
Ding! Obtained Position of Earth's Guardian (Not Activated)!
"Popo, your wish will have to wait a bit. Hope you don't mind," Renkai said with a slight grin.
Popo simply nodded, watching Renkai carefully. He had dealt with many warriors over the centuries, but this dragon-man was something entirely different. He wasn't just strong—he was strategic. Calculated. Even as a being who had served Kami for generations, Popo felt there was something otherworldly about Renkai.
"Want some gum?" Renkai asked, holding out a red-and-white box labeled "RR." Kami and Popo declined, so Renkai shrugged and popped a piece into his mouth. At the same time, he activated his combat power detector to check his new stats.
Didi!
Renkai: Combat Power – 300
(Humanoid Dragon Form: Combat Power – 3000)
A smirk played on Renkai's lips. "Once I fulfill Popo's wish, my humanoid dragon combat power will surpass King Kai's."
That raised an important question—where to go next?
There were plenty of strong warriors on Earth, but Renkai wasn't interested in wasting time. The key to rapid growth wasn't training—it was Kaio-Ken. That technique was a game-changer. Unlike the slow grind of traditional martial arts, Kaio-Ken allowed warriors to multiply their power instantly.
And then, there was the Spirit Bomb—one of the most powerful energy-gathering techniques in existence. Both belonged to King Kai.
Renkai had no intention of rushing in blindly. He had set a strict rule for himself—never approach someone significantly stronger unless he was summoned in dragon form. That was his insurance policy. He wasn't reckless like some Saiyan brute who charged into fights headfirst. He played it safe.
"Lord Kami, Renkai's power… it just increased again," Popo whispered.
Kami nodded. "Unbelievable. We're fortunate that he's on our side."
That evening, despite normally only drinking water, Kami invited Renkai to a meal as a show of gratitude. Renkai didn't refuse. He quickly discovered that Popo's cooking skills were no joke. The meal was delicious. It was yet another reminder that Popo was more than just a silent servant—he was a master in many things.
Once the 12-hour cooldown ended, it was time for Popo's wish.
"I don't really have any wishes," Popo admitted after thinking for a moment.
"In that case, just wish for me to go meet King Kai," Renkai said casually.
Popo blinked, then nodded. "Alright."
A swish of energy surrounded Renkai, and in the blink of an eye, he vanished from the temple.
Ding! Obtained Position of Kami's Attendant (Not Activated)!
Kami and Popo exchanged glances as they watched Renkai disappear.
"When we see him again, he will be even stronger," Kami said with certainty.
King Kai's Planet – The Afterlife
On a tiny spherical planet, far away in the afterlife, King Kai was driving his car in circles with his two animal companions, laughing to himself. His planet was so ridiculously small that he could drive around the whole thing in just a few minutes.
Suddenly, he slammed on the brakes. His antennae twitched.
A massive power was heading straight for him.
The next moment, a three-meter-tall cyan dragon-man appeared in front of King Kai's car.
"Nice to meet you, King Kai. I'm Renkai," he greeted politely.
King Kai squinted at him.
Didi!
King Kai: Combat Power – 3500
Renkai: Combat Power – 910
(Humanoid Dragon Form: Combat Power – 9100)
Even King Kai's pet monkey and grasshopper, who were considered strong by Earth standards, weren't even worth mentioning compared to Renkai.
King Kai adjusted his sunglasses. "Alright, kid, what brings you here?"
Despite Renkai's overwhelming power, King Kai wasn't impressed. As the overseer of the North Galaxy, he had seen beings far beyond Renkai's level. Compared to warriors like Frieza, who could obliterate planets with ease, Renkai was still a small fry.
Renkai grinned. "Before I tell you, why don't we go for a drive first?"
King Kai lit up with excitement. Someone actually wanted to drive around his planet with him? "Great idea! Hop in!"
And just like that, the two of them drove around the planet for the next 12 hours.
Obtaining Kaio-Ken and Spirit Bomb
Once the cooldown ended, Renkai leaned back and stretched. "Alright, King Kai, now tell me your wish. I'll grant it."
King Kai froze. His jaw dropped.
"Wait a second… You're a dragon?"
Renkai smirked. "Took you long enough to figure it out."
King Kai scratched his head. A wish-granting dragon that could turn into a person? That was new.
His first thought was "I should wish for my planet to be restored!" But then, he remembered why his planet was so tiny in the first place.
The culprit?
Lord Beerus.
The God of Destruction had blown it up long ago.
If King Kai restored it now, Beerus might get angry and destroy it again.
"Yeah, uh… let's not do that," King Kai muttered, shivering.
Instead, he quickly blurted out his wish.
"Tell me a joke!"
Renkai blinked. "That's your wish?"
"YEP! Tell me a joke!"
Renkai held back a laugh. This guy was something else. But a wish was a wish.
"Fine. Here you go."
Ding! Acquired Kaio-Ken!
Ding! Acquired Spirit Bomb!
Ding! Obtained Position of King Kai (Not Activated)!
Renkai's body surged with power. Kaio-Ken, the legendary technique that multiplied combat strength, was now his. And the Spirit Bomb, a devastating energy-gathering move, was also in his arsenal.
King Kai burst into laughter, completely oblivious to the fact that he had just given one of the most broken techniques in the universe to a literal cheat system user.
Meanwhile, Renkai checked his updated stats.
Didi!
Renkai: Combat Power – 3750
(Humanoid Dragon Form – Combat Power: ????)
Boom!
The combat power detector short-circuited and exploded.
Renkai sighed, tossing the broken device aside. "Well, guess I need a better scouter."
