Akin couldn't sit still under Bones's scrutiny. He had just recounted his investigation efforts and the help he needed in identifying the street lord their client was in contact with prior to his collaboration with Don. He had considered lying and tricking the Information out of him, but he had decided against it at the final moment. Bones might see through his ruse and decide not to help him, however, his honesty might make him think that there's something to gain from the situation.
