[System Notification: Floor 33 - The Illusions Begin.]
As Elias and Althea stepped into the next passage, the darkness shifted again. But this time, it wasn't just consuming the light-it was twisting reality itself.
Althea narrowed her eyes. "Be careful. This is different."
Elias' instincts buzzed with unease. He took a step forward-and suddenly, the entire corridor vanished.
Instead, he stood in a familiar place.
A ruined house.
Blood-stained floors.
And in front of him-his family's corpses.
Elias' breath caught in his throat.
"No... this isn't real."
But it felt real.
The smell of blood. The stillness in the air. The echo of his sister's last scream.
His hands trembled. "I buried them... I saw them die."
Then a whisper.
His father's corpse twitched. His mother's hand moved. His sister's head slowly turned toward him.
"You let us die."
Elias stumbled backward.
No. No. No.
This was an illusion. It had to be.
But it felt so-
A blade swung toward his throat.
Elias reacted on instinct, ducking just in time as Althea's sword barely missed his face.
She was attacking him.
"What the hell are you doing?!" he snapped.
Althea's eyes were distant, unfocused. She wasn't seeing him.
She was fighting something else.
Elias gritted his teeth. Damn it. This floor was warping their minds, trapping them in their own nightmares.
If they didn't break free, they'd be dead before reaching the next floor.
He clenched his fists.
"Wake up, Althea!"
A flash of Primal Roar sent a shockwave through the room, shattering the illusion.
The corpses disappeared. The ruins vanished.
Althea gasped, her vision clearing.
Elias exhaled sharply. "That was too close."
She wiped sweat from her brow. "That floor... it messes with our heads."

Just as they regained their composure, the labyrinth shifted again.
The walls pulsed-twisting and stretching. The
passage they had just walked through disappeared, replaced by countless identical paths leading in all directions.
Althea groaned. "A maze? Really?"
Elias scowled. "Not just any maze. This place is alive."
The walls trembled as if breathing. Shadows moved unnaturally, forming figures that mirrored their own.
Doppelgängers.
The moment Elias turned a corner, another Elias stepped out, his features identical-but his eyes were empty.
It lunged at him.
Lightning surged in Elias' hands. He twisted, slamming a Divine Judgment-infused fist into the fake.
The impact obliterated it instantly, its body breaking apart into black mist.
Althea faced her own double, sword meeting sword in a clash of steel.
The battle was quick but mentally exhausting.
Each corridor led to another copy of themselves, forcing them to fight over and over.
By the time they reached the end of the maze, Elias felt a headache forming.
"This floor is trying to break us down."
Althea wiped sweat from her brow, "We can't stop. Keep moving."
As they stepped through the final passage-

They had made it.
But as they stepped forward, a chill ran down Elias' spine,
The real nightmare was just beginning.
