Clayton tightly gripped my hand, determined to get to the bottom of things. He closed the door and pulled me into the inner lounge.
"Vivienne, what's going on with the back of your neck?"
Only then did I realize that Jaxon, that lunatic, had left marks on my neck.
"Just mosquito bites. Don't worry about it."
I tried to leave immediately. Who knows what Clayton might do in such a private space?
But Clayton embraced me, yanking off my jacket. Two buttons popped off my shirt as it slid down my shoulders, revealing the lingering sensual marks on my back.
"Vivienne! You dare betray me!"
Clayton shoved me away.
I quickly gathered my clothes, put my jacket back on, and buttoned it all the way up to the top.
I spoke, enunciating each word.
"It. Wasn't. On. Purpose."
I threw his own words right back at him.
"You better hope I don't catch you with that scumbag. I'll end his life!"
I ignored his ranting behind me. Right now, I only wanted to confront Jaxon.
I messaged him asking where he was. He said he was still at home.
I turned around and headed straight for his place.
As I entered, before he could even finish saying "Vivienne," I slapped him across the face."Jaxon, have you lost your mind?"
Jaxon's head jerked to the side from my slap.
He didn't get angry, just lowered his head, still smiling, and took the hand I had just slapped him with, bringing it to his lips for a kiss.
"Did that hurt?"
"You deliberately left all these marks on my back just to enrage Clayton and make him divorce me, didn't you?"
"How many times do I have to tell you, I'll handle the divorce myself!"
"Today you're intentionally leaving marks, tomorrow are you going to deliberately get me pregnant to force Clayton to step aside?"
Jaxon's eyes lit up.
"Can we?"
I slapped him again.
"Can we? You bastard!"
