Clayton ultimately signed the divorce agreement, perhaps out of guilt.
He left with nothing, moving out of the house.
Before leaving, he solemnly apologized to me.
"Vivienne, I've wronged you all these years. I admit that part of why I was with you was to win against him."
He glanced at Jaxon, who stood smugly behind me.
"But my feelings for you weren't fake. I'm willing to divorce because I want to put an end to this relationship that I've broken."
"If you're going to leave, hurry up. Vivienne needs to rest!"
Jaxon put his hand on my shoulder, wrapping around me as if staking his claim.
"But no matter how Jaxon acts, he can't marry you!"
Clayton stepped forward, challenging Jaxon.
"After all, as the heir to the Langdon family, you're already engaged, aren't you?"
"You should go now. What happens between him and me is none of your business. Don't contact me again in the future. You're going to be a father."
I urged him.
Clayton looked at me with confidence.
