Jayden took a deep breath as he felt the speed force coursing through his body, the white and golden sparks surrounding his body made him grin.
' What is... this feeling, I can feel vibrations of different... Earths, All of these Earths occupy the same place in space, but they vibrate at a different frequency, so they can't see one another'
Although the feeling was nuance and infinitesimal, Jayden felt different Universes, timelines and the temporal and dimensional barriers that protected them.
Due to feeling these parallel Universes and divergent realities, Jayden realised that he had grown stronger and that made him smile.
He then turned his head around as he felt the lightning course through his body.
Jayden looked at Bart and noticed that he looked frozen, his goggles were frozen in the air.
'Did I stop time...no, I am so fast that everything looks... frozen'
Through his connection with the Speed Force, Jayden understood something significant something about the difference between natural Speed Force users and people who just use raw speed.
He didn't know exactly how to put it.
When it came to acceleration and momentum, Speed Force users had instantaneous acceleration.
They could bypass the laws of nature and physics when it came to gaining momentum.
But non-Speed Force users... they needed to build up speed through momentum.
They relied on physical momentum, biology, and they were susceptible to friction, unless they could somehow biologically adapt to it.
He didn't know exactly how to explain that.
But it was the core difference.
'This explains a lot of things'
"So? How's it feel? The mode. That lightning tearing through your nerves like music?"
Jayden heard Bartholomew's voice, he simply smiled as he saw the grin on his face.
"It's phenomenal, is this the way how you see things... it feels lonely"
Jayden noticed that Bart avoided his gaze so he didn't push the matter further.
The duo left the gym and began to approach the main hall.
"Urggh"
Jayden grunted as he felt his heart beat getting faster with each passing second.
"Dude, you don't look okay?"
Bart noticed that Jayden was beginning to sweat, and the atmosphere got hotter.
"ARGGHHHH!!!! BART MOVE!!!!"
Jayden began to scream as his eyes got red, after a few seconds of holding back.
He opened his eyes and began to release all his heat vision, it was thicker and hotter than usual and the moment it landed on the walls giant holes were formed.
This sudden event happened for a minute straight until he passed out.
...
"Who's this beautiful woman"
Jayden opened slowly opened his eyes and noticed a young woman, a beautiful young woman with a dark, gothic aesthetic.
Her skin was pale, almost lavender, smooth and cold like moonlight.
Her deep violet hair framed her face perfectly, stopping just above her shoulders.
She had striking violet eyes and a glowing red gem like a delicate ruby resting on her forehead, right above her brows.
A dark blue cloak hung from her shoulders, its hood pulled back to reveal her calm, ethereal face.
"Are you Death of the endless, I heard your beauty was out of this world... who's the lucky guy"
The woman raised her eyebrow as she heard Jayden's words.
"I am flattered but I am Raven not... Death, you look disoriented"
Jayden scanned his surroundings and noticed that he was in the medbay.
He slowly rose from the bed but he halted his movements as Dick and Bart entered the room.
"Bart, what happened... did I hurt you"
Jayden raised his eyebrows as he looked at Bart with concern, he couldn't control the sensation he felt but he still knew it was his fault.
"I am okay... but you're not, after your... episode you passed out"
Jayden had many questions after he heard Bart's statement, Dick soon displayed his medical HUD and began to explain Jayden's diagnosis.
"J, your suit monitors many things including your vitals..."
"I am sorry to interrupt but can you skip this and get to the point"
Dick simply sighed and continued as he said:
"Initially we thought you released a mini solar flare but Bart began to fill us in about your connection to the speed force so we...ran more tests"
Dick did a gesture and the HUD displayed more information.
"According to the Data we received from Wally, Speedsters burn through an extreme amount of energy especially when accelerating, vibrating, or phasing through matter."
Dick paused as he expanded the HUD.
"at a minimum speedsters need to eat ten to twenty thousand calories a day just to function properly, sometimes even more depending on the intensity of movement. But in your case..."
Dick turned to face Jayden directly.
"...your Kryptonian physiology changes everything.
Since you're constantly absorbing solar radiation, your body doesn't rely on food the same way.
That solar energy works as a substitute"
Jayden listened attentively but he knew where this was going and he didn't like it.
Bart stepped forward and looked at the HUD for a second before turning to Jayden.
"In theory… or thesis whatever Grandpa called it your body is perfectly aligned with the Speed Force," Bart said.
"Like, it's not just that you're connected to it your body syncs with it naturally.
A Perfect fit."
Jayden frowned. "Then why the overload?"
Bart scratched his head. "Because… you're still Kryptonian.
And the moment your body started syncing with the Speed Force, it began demanding more energy...solar energy."
He pointed at the vitals.
"You're absorbing sunlight at a way faster rate now.
But your retention? It's still catching up. So your body's taking in way more than it can hold"
Jayden looked down at his hand.
"So the heat…"
Bart nodded. "It wasn't a solar flare.
According to Conner, that was heat vision , pure, raw heat vision but at its most unstable.
Your body had too much excess solar energy and dumped it the only way it knew how."
Jayden understood the problem now, but the expressions on their faces made him uneasy, like there was more they weren't telling him.
"Is there anything else... Your faces make me uneasy"
"Yeah" Dick sighed and continued as he said:
"We don't think it would be a good Idea for you to start attending school from tomorrow, Bruce suggested home..."
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!!"
His reply was so quick that it caught them of guard, but Dick continued as he said:
"We reached this conclusion after trying many things lower your power output,"
Dick added "We tried everything we had access to."
He looked at Bart briefly before listing them off.
"Metahuman inhibitors failed they couldn't even register your vitals.
suppressors from Fort Rozz also failed.
We even used red solar radiation, tried to flush the yellow sunlight from your cells. It didn't push anything out...not even a dent."
While he didn't know why the metahuman inhibitors and the suppressors from Fort Rozz didn't work, he knew why the artificial red solar radiation failed.
If he wasn't in the presence of a real red sun, it simply wouldn't work on him.
Artificial and synthetic red solar radiation regardless of its nature or origin had no effect because he wasn't any Kryptonian but a descendant of Prime.
'SHIT, I am sure Bruce already received these discoveries...is he creating a new contingency plan for me... probably'
"Look I didn't leave everything behind just to get homeschool, we know what's the problem and it's not like my powers are not stable...so I am going to school tomorrow whether you like it or not"
