Harry had been creating art since he was three years old. His room, which he shared with Alex and Justin, was a testament to his boundless creativity. The walls were adorned with vibrant paintings, the shelves overflowing with hundreds of thousands of books, and the floor littered with sketches, manuscripts, and musical compositions. Harry's talent, "Limitless Inspiration", had allowed him to explore every artistic medium imaginable—painting, writing, music, and more. Yet, despite his prolific output, he had never released any of his work to the public. Nothing ever felt good enough.
Today, Harry was hunched over his desk, scribbling furiously on a stack of papers. He was working on a novel, a story he hoped would be his masterpiece. The novel followed "Ethan", a boy who wakes up in a seemingly perfect town with no memory of his past. Surrounded by a loving family and friends, Ethan's life appears idyllic—until he discovers that everything around him is a fabrication. Trapped in a fabricated reality designed to suppress a dangerous secret buried in his mind, Ethan must escape before those controlling the illusion erase him forever.
Harry had poured his heart into this story, hoping it would serve as his foothold into the world of recognition and success. But as he reread the latest chapter, he frowned. "This part still doesn't feel right," he muttered, scratching his head and crossing out a line. "I need to change this."
Despite his "Limitless Inspiration", Harry was never satisfied. He constantly tweaked and revised his work, striving for perfection. Yet, if anyone else were to read his story, they would be stunned by its brilliance. Harry's standards were simply impossibly high.
Just then, his mother's voice echoed from downstairs. "Harry, Angelina is here to visit you!"
Hearing her call, Harry set down his pen and replied, "Yes, Mom! I'm coming!"
After tidying up his desk, Harry made his way to the entrance to greet Angelina, his best friend. They had been close since elementary school, and she was one of the few people Harry truly connected with. While most of the girls at school fawned over him and the boys resented him for it, Angelina treated him like a normal person. She was mature for her age, an avid reader, and someone Harry trusted deeply.
"So, what brings you here?" Harry asked as he opened the door.
"Nothing much," Angelina replied with a smile. "I just wanted to see you."
"Hey, do you want to read the novel I've been working on?" Harry asked, his eyes lighting up with excitement.
"Sure, let's go," Angelina said, following him to his room.
As they entered, Angelina glanced around. "Where are Alex and Justin?" she asked.
"Alex went to Dad's office, and Justin, as usual, is at the library," Harry explained, grabbing the stack of papers he had been working on earlier. "Here, see if you like it."
Angelina took the papers and began reading. Her expression shifted from curiosity to surprise, then to astonishment. By the time she finished, she looked up at Harry with wide eyes. "Woah! I knew you were brilliant, Harry, but this... this is something else entirely."
Harry smiled faintly, though his eyes betrayed his dissatisfaction. "You really think so?"
"Absolutely," Angelina said, her voice filled with genuine admiration. "So, what are you planning to do with this?"
"I'm thinking of asking my father to help me publish it," Harry said, his tone thoughtful. "But I still need to make some changes. It's not perfect yet."
Angelina stared at him, baffled. "You want to change 'this'? Harry, it's already a masterpiece."
Harry shrugged. "I'm not satisfied with it. There are parts that need improvement."
Sighing, Angelina said, "If you want help publishing it, I can ask my father. He owns a multimedia company."
Harry blinked in surprise. "Wait, what? Your father owns a multimedia company?"
Angelina chuckled. "Oh, right. I never told you that, did I?"
"No, you didn't," Harry said, his mind racing with possibilities. "Well, I'll talk to my father first, but I'll keep your offer in mind."
"Sure, talk to your dad and let me know," Angelina said, handing the manuscript back to him. "But seriously, Harry, this is incredible. Don't doubt yourself too much."
Harry nodded, though his mind was already back on the story. "Thanks, Angelina. I'll think about it."
