System gift packs are always good!
First, it was the Yapool's notebook, then the Dark Giant statue, the Empera Sword, the Phantom Beast martial arts, and now the Reionics bloodline with a Battlenizer!
The Reionics bloodline won't raise Rhodes' combat power much now, but its main value is in controlling and enhancing monsters—this is what Rhodes wants.
Rhodes picked up the Reionics gene, ready to inject himself—but suddenly stopped.
If he injects the Reionics gene, he becomes an alien. The human bloodline is still crucial in the Warhammer universe.
Plus, in the future, there's a chance to draw the full Reibloodian version from the advanced shop. The ability to control and enhance monsters already overlaps with his system's powers.
His system has no upper limit on controlled monsters! And if he wants the Reionics' telepathic monster-empowering ability...
He could give the serum to one of his aliens, then strengthen it himself—that's the perfect plan.
After thinking, Rhodes decided not to inject himself with the Reibloodian gene serum.
In the original story, many Reionics appeared, but only Reimon was strong.
Rhodes could give the Reionics gene to a Mefilas, or one of his scientists Zett or Balt.
As for Salome, her human genes are important; Rhodes doesn't plan to change her to Reionics.
Rhodes took the Reionics gene to the basement, to the laboratory of his scientists Balt, Salome, and Yapool.
"Master! Is there something you want from us?" Yapool, Balt, and Salome asked when they saw Rhodes.
"Have you heard of Reionics?" Rhodes put the gene serum and the Battlenizer on the table.
"Reionics? Said to be descendants of the ultimate lifeform, Reiblood, from tens of thousands of years ago," Balt explained what he knew.
Reionics are not necessarily powerful themselves—some are just ordinary lifeforms, not even super lifeforms—but their ability to control monsters is real.
Reiblood himself was a legendary being, said to have ruled the universe tens of thousands of years ago, able to command endless monster armies.
"I know a lot about Reionics. In my era, Reionics appeared in great numbers, destroying many civilizations.
Reiblood spread his genes across the universe. Anyone infected becomes a Reionics and gets a Battlenizer. The basic version can control three monsters," Salome said.
"This is a sample of Reiblood's gene. Injecting it turns you into a Reionics.
And this is the legendary Monster Summoner. A Reionics with it can greatly boost monster combat power," Rhodes explained.
Balt and Yapool were shocked. They didn't expect their master to bring out a Reibloodian item!
"Master! Can we study this Monster Summoner?" Balt asked.
They hadn't finished researching the Land of Light's Ultra Monster Capsules, and now the master brings a Battlenizer!
He naturally wanted to see how this Battlenizer compared to the Ultra Capsules.
Rhodes nodded, allowing them to examine it freely.
The two scientists immediately examined the battler and gene sample with various instruments.
"It's truly amazing! Master, the Battlenizer is extremely complex—not just technology, but also some kind of psychic component," Balt reported.
"Indeed. The flesh of an ultimate lifeform can be destroyed, but their souls are nearly immortal.
This Battlenizer is a simplified version of the Ultimate Battler, but carries unimaginable power, able to resonate and evolve with Reionics blood," Rhodes explained.
In the TV series, Reionics was amazing, and in later movies and cameos, their strength was always top-tier.
"Master, I detect a strange energy in this Battlenizer that can bind to the user's soul. As the user's soul and body grow stronger, so does the Battlenizer.
Conversely, as the battler is upgraded, the monsters inside also get stronger. With it, monsters can unlock new forms, like EX or other enhancements," Yapool said.
Anyone would be interested in such a battler. His Super Beast could also use it to boost power. If only he had one back when he fought Ace Ultraman!
"Master, do you want us to research or duplicate these?" Balt asked.
"No—you can't duplicate this. Otherwise, Reionics would already be everywhere," Rhodes shook his head.
If it were early on, when he didn't understand Ultraman tech, Rhodes might have asked his scientists to reverse-engineer everything.
But now, he knows Ultraman tech always contains something extra—like interdimensional energy, psychic force, or soul energy.
The Ultra Capsules he got from the Land of Light had no protection or encryption, but even so, Balt, Zett, Salome, and the newly joined Yapool still couldn't clone them, let alone a higher-level battler.
"Sorry, Master, but the capsules we can make now only store and control monsters. Healing them or boosting their power is still out of reach," Balt admitted.
"That's already good! Make more of those for now.
Take your time. The main reason I came is to ask if any of you want to become a Reionics.
Directly inject the gene and use the Battlenizer," Rhodes said.
Being able to store, summon, and control monsters is already enough for Rhodes. As for healing and boosting, that's not essential.
"Master, I'll pass. Yapoolians are interdimensional lifeforms. I have a physical body but can't inject this serum. And I already have a Super Beast; I don't need more combat power," Yapool declined.
"Master, I'm a biologist, skilled at making Zetton.
In the past, I might have wanted this, but now I'd rather focus on science," Balt said.
"Me neither; my human genes are important to you," Salome shook her head.
Rhodes promised her that soon she'd get a Phantom Beast fusion, making her a super lifeform—so she wasn't tempted by Reionics blood.
"Master, I think this Reionics gene should go to the Zett. He's the only one among us who can't grow gigantic," Balt suggested.
He's already a super lifeform and can grow gigantic, so the best recipient is the Zett.
"Alright, that's settled!" Rhodes used the system's remote power to contact Zett in the Forge World and told him the news.
"You're generous, Master. The Reionics gene will be a huge boost for me. If no one else wants it, I'll take it!" Zett accepted without hesitation.
He also wanted to become a super lifeform with the Reionics gene—he couldn't be the weakest among the scientists!
"Good! I'll send a small ship with the gene for you. You can choose three monsters. Which ones do you want?" Rhodes asked.
Becoming a Reionics, Rhodes would give Zett three monsters as his starters.
"Master, I want to try capturing an Ork from this world," Zett said.
