A neat trash on his table

Sean Xiao woke up in the early morning, getting ready for another stressful day at work.

Being the sons of a very influencial person in China and world wide, he as the eldest has to take full care of the business, 'the SeanJie cooperation'.

"Sean, breakfast is ready" he heard the voice of his mother calling.

"I'm coming. Almost done" he said, rushing down stairs after grabbing his tie from the expensive closet.

The breakfast of toasted bread decorated with jam of cherry flavor and green tea, just like how he liked it caught his eyes. He sat taking a bite before looking over to an empty seat next to him.

"What's it?" His father asked noticing his son's changed expression.

"Nothing pa, I just wonder when he'll be back. He's been away for so long" both husband and wife, exchanged unnoticed glanced.

"He'll be back. I promise you" the mother assured.

"But I find it strange. Wang Jie has never done anything without telling me. Why didn't I know of his departure?" He asked still finding it difficult to nibble on the bread toast that was unshaken in his mouth.

"We've told you. You were preparing show that was really taking your attention from him. All of us thought you would grow up to become an artist. But I guess, businessman suites you perfectly." LianLu teased.

"But..."

"Your twin is fine.Though it might take time, he'll come back. Besides, I think he's thinking of a 1001 reasons why he travelled without telling you, be prepared to scold him whenever he comes back, okay?" Chang'er assured patting his arm.

Sean shrugged " I just miss him. How could he have left without telling me. That brat! Wait until he comes back" with this, the family had their meal in peace.

"Good morning Mr. Xiao " people greeted both the father and son.

Of course, with his puppy eyes, he was able to attract the whole people to himself

Leaving the father alone.

"Wow!! Mr. Xiao is as handsome as always. But too bad his secretary has already taken the place. I feel envious of that bitch" one said making sure the Xiao family were out of sight.

"Me too. Feng Wu, that sly. Dresses in short clothes to get his attention. But well, I guess it worked. The CEO can't just..."

"Shut up " another held her mouth. "The CEO might hear. You wouldn't want speaking ill of him, after he has given you enough salary than the other companies you've worked, would you?"

The lady seemed not convinced. "But that's true..."

"Have you confirmed it with your eyes? The secretary might be working hard to get his attention, but the CEO is so workaholic that he haven't paid much attention even to his cute little cousin. Don't be so foolish to talk whatever that is aloud " the woman that shushed her advice and left to meddle in her own matters.

"I'm envious " Chang'er said leaning in as if wanting to whisper words to him.

"About what?" Sean asked almost uninterested.

"Back in my days..."

"Urgh!! Dad I don't want to keep hearing that. You've said that alot to me and Wang jie. Aren't you tired of this story?" Sean asked shrugging his shoulders.

"But..."

"Mom really misses you I can handle it here. No need to accompany me. I've always done my best" he said.

To admit, he only liked hearing those crappy stories from his father because Wang jie would want that. And the way he enjoys that, made him take interest in those crappy stories. But now that his brother is in the States studying, he found it rather uninteresting and displeasing to the ear.

"Ignoring your father I see. Well, let me see how long you can stay without me. Let me go to the woman that loves me" .

Honestly, people often thought that Chang'er was Sean's son. Someone, an employee, new in the business who hasn't met both the chairman and the CEO really called Sean a father at that young age of his.

His dad was already old enough to be a grandpa. But after seeing his father's face making when he shunned him of not telling his stories of 'back in the days', he realized it. Sean has more matured brain than his father. He, Sean acts and does like a man with ten kids with more than hundred grandchildren. 'just how did you manage to be the most powerful man in China' he had always thought that to himself.

"Dad," he called his dad, whose back was facing him, hands swaying happily.

Dad paused, turned and looked at him "anything for me"

"Take care of yourself and mom"he said. Chang'er smiled. "Of course I'll, you don't have to announce it"

Sean seem to smile back nodding "I trust you" with that, father parted ways with son.

Feng Wu came in hours later carrying a file that gave both joy and depression to Sean's face.

"Mr Sean" she called.

"Any word from him yet?" He asked.

"I checked the university he's in, no one can connect to the students since this was their exam period" Feng Wu said.

Sean let out a heavy sigh. Why does it seem too difficult to communicate with his Li' twin brother.

"Okay, understood. Get back to work now" he said eyes still on his computer.

Feng Wu was hesitant to leave, clutching unto the thick file she was holding.

Sean noticing, slowly raised his head to face her once again.

"Anything else?" He asked.

"About what I told you" she hesitated a little.

He allowed himself to relax on his seat seeming like he was thinking deeply into what they had earlier talked about.

He finally spoke, after he inhaled and exhaled slightly.

"Is it because of what I said, that made you want to resign?"

Feng Wu shook her head, also shaking her hands to correspond with her emotions.

"That's your nature I suppose, so, I dare not get angry nor feel uncomfortable working with you. The only reason why I had to resign is because, I'm moving in with my grandma. You know, since after my parents divorce, my mom has been working hard to support and take care of Grandma. She found a decent job here in Shanghai. And no one is there to take care of my bedridden granny" she explained.

Sean thought for a moment. "Fine. I'll accept your request only if you find a suitable person within the space of two weeks. There's a trip I have make, an important one at that. I'll also compensate you for your hardwork through your stay here in this company."

Feng Wu hid her bitterness and smiled. "I'll do just that. Two weeks is enough for me to find more than capable for you " she said.

"Here. The Yu industry have brought their proposal as you had requested."

He nodded, "on the table please." Eyes now glued to the screen. Keyboards making endless tapping sounds.

Feng Wu felt pity in her heart. She knew the either she or the new secretary will have to constantly remind him, else that file is ready to be there for years without it being touched not to talk about it being remembered in the earnest.

Her CEO was indeed so workerholic that he often mistook the days but was ever accurate in the dates.

In the end, that file if not remembered like the others, would be a neat trash, on his table, waiting to be disposed like the rest.
