Chapter 61: The Bible of Hell

There is a Bible in heaven, which makes sense. It guides the world in its own way.

But I'm afraid no one knows that there is actually a Bible in hell. If Noah had not seen the movie Hell Detective, he would never have imagined such a thing existed. But in fact, it does.

It is well known that 1 Corinthians has only 13 chapters, but in the Bible of Hell, 1 Corinthians has 21 chapters.

This text depicts another version of the Book of Revelation—one where the world will not end because of God's hand but will instead be reborn in darkness.

Well, it's nonsense. Because if nothing else, those two guys wouldn't dare to come over, but people who don't know the truth still believe it.

The magicians in this world are really strong. Even when facing higher life forms—those so-called gods—they show no fear at all.

But the magicians in this world are very strange. They are not afraid of foreign enemies, and they can even unite in the face of such threats.

Yet internally, they are far from harmonious. For example, the British wizarding world, where Noah resides, is divided into three factions.

One faction follows Voldemort's ideology and aims to uphold pure-blood supremacy.

Another faction, led by Dumbledore, wants to defeat Voldemort and prevent even greater disasters.

And then there is the third faction—neutral individuals who are either too scared of Voldemort or wary of Dumbledore and thus refuse to take sides.

In fact, Noah believes that if Voldemort truly succeeds, his days will be numbered.

In the original novel, there was no Ancient One. Perhaps Voldemort could have roamed freely then, but this world is different. If he succeeded here, his death would come swiftly.

The main reason Dumbledore and the others haven't sought the Ancient One's help is likely to save face for the British wizarding world and avoid humiliation in the magical community.

Ironically, Noah thinks they've already embarrassed themselves enough.

While lost in his thoughts, their car arrived at a bowling alley.

Interestingly, the owner of this bowling alley, Beeman, is also an exorcist. He's a good friend of Constantine and serves as his supplier for equipment.

"Here are the things you were looking for. God, I hope this doesn't lead to trouble," Beeman said as he took out a sealed copy of the Bible of Hell. He looked both frightened and excited.

Every time the Bible of Hell was brought out, it was never a good sign. The only thing that reassured Beeman was that a magician was involved.

Since arriving in this city, Beeman had learned a lot from Constantine.

Flipping open the Bible of Hell, Beeman quickly found the passage related to the information Father Hannasi had given him.

However, the more he read, the darker his expression became. He let out a long sigh.

"I think we're in big trouble this time. Chapter 16, verse 29, and Chapter 16, verse 30. Look—'The sins of the father will be surpassed by the sins caused by his children.'" Beeman swallowed hard as he read the passage aloud.

"Whose son?" Ms. Haifin and Angela were confused. They didn't understand what it meant at all.

"My God, Beeman, are you joking?" Hannasi's face looked unsettled. He was clearly shaken.

"Beeman, I don't think he can come to this world. He can't cross the barrier, and he can't escape the watchful eyes of the magicians," Constantine shook his head, clearly unconvinced.

Ms. Haifin and Angela grew more confused by the conversation, especially when they noticed that Noah remained silent, deep in thought.

For both women, this was their first exposure to the hidden world that lay beyond their own. They were curious about everything but also terrified.

"Noah, whose son is he? The son of God?" Ms. Haifin looked at Noah, hoping for an answer.

"No, the other one—the son of the devil." Noah snapped out of his thoughts and gave her a smile.

He wasn't thinking about anything urgent, so he didn't mind answering.

---

To be honest, Noah had already sensed the presence of something foul-smelling nearby.

But he didn't care.

Although the creature was strange, it was nowhere near as threatening as Balthazar, whom Noah had previously dealt with.

In Noah's eyes, this thing was just another odd monster. Plus, two members of the Ministry of Magic had arrived alongside it, so he wasn't worried about any real trouble.

"Oh, this symbol." At that moment, Beeman turned to the drawing Hannasi had given him. "This is the mark of Mammon, the son of the devil. Wait—it says here…"

Beeman wiped his glasses, swallowed nervously, and continued reading.

"Mammon doesn't want to be bound by his father's rules. He longs to build his own kingdom of blood and fire…"

As he spoke, Beeman suddenly seemed to hear something.

Not just him—Hannasi and Constantine also appeared to notice the disturbance.

At the same time, the air became thick with the stench of sulfur, immediately triggering Constantine's instincts.

"Keep reading. It's fine," Noah said casually, patting Beeman's shoulder.

"I'm fine, I know," Beeman replied, swallowing again. He trusted Noah's words and kept reading.

"It also states that first, Mammon must possess the body of a psychic with immense spiritual power."

"Isabella?" Angela asked painfully.

"No. If it were her, Mammon would already be in this world." Beeman shook his head and continued, "To cross the barrier, Mammon also requires divine assistance."

"God… This means he needs the power of Heaven!" Hannasi gulped, his large frame beginning to tremble.

At that moment, all the machines in the bowling alley suddenly whirred to life.

The bizarre phenomenon made everyone except Noah uneasy.

The acrid scent of sulfur grew stronger, and in the small space, an eerie chittering sound filled the air.

"It's flies," Noah remarked offhandedly. He pulled out his wand and turned to Constantine. "I heard you and Detective Dawson were attacked by this thing before, and you drove it away with fire?"

"It's that thing? I thought I killed it!" Constantine said in disbelief.

"Come on. It's a demon in spirit form. Killing it without mithril is nearly impossible. Besides, don't you know demons aren't afraid of ordinary flames?"

"Damn it! I thought it was just some kind of amalgamation monster, but it turns out it's a demon!"

"It doesn't matter. If it's trying to protect a secret, it will definitely come for us. Since it's here, let's just send it back."

Noah smirked.

Just then, the doors burst open.

A black swarm of flies came buzzing in with a deafening roar.
