Kai Verner has always dreamed of becoming a Hunter—a powerful figure capable of conquering dungeons, gaining wealth, and carving out a place in a world ruled by magic. But at 18, he is nothing more than a 1-star Hunter, with no special abilities and weak stats. His dream feels out of reach, and the reality of his life is a constant reminder of his insignificance.



When Kai registers as a Hunter, he receives his license with the cold label of "1-star." Disappointed by his lack of strength and abilities, he tries to move on. But then, his device—linked to the mysterious system that governs the world—displays a strange notification: "Do you wish to update the system?"
