He Is a Scumbag to the Core

Sophia turned to look at her.

"What are you looking at?" Ning Shu’s eyes turned red when she saw Sophia.

"A-Zhen told me he went to your house yesterday. I came to warn you today. I won’t let A-Zhen and you rekindle your old relationship. He can only be mine. You can only envy and be jealous of me!"

Sophia finally understood why Ning Shu was so angry. That scumbag Steven had deliberately told her about his visit to make her feel insecure and afraid of losing him.

Steven was really sinister, using her to stir up trouble.

"I don’t envy you. You’re just an ATM," Sophia said calmly.

"You..." Ning Shu’s face twisted in anger. She raised her hand and slapped Sophia across the face. "Sophia, you shameless third party! You seduced my boyfriend! I’ll teach you a lesson!"

Sophia grabbed her wrist and slapped her back.

"In everyone else’s eyes, you’re the real third party," she said coldly.

"Don’t be shameless!"

Ning Shu was stunned for a moment, not expecting Sophia to hit her back.

When she finally reacted, she shouted angrily, "Sophia, I’m not done with you! I’m marrying Steven tomorrow, and I won’t give you any chance to take him away from me!"

"If you don’t want me to steal Steven the day after tomorrow, you better marry him tomorrow," Sophia said, deliberately provoking her.

It would be better if Steven married her right away. That way, Abigail’s plan would be completely ruined.

"Sophia, just you wait!" Ning Shu stormed off in a rage, shouting, "Tomorrow, I’ll throw the marriage certificate in your face!"

Sophia’s smile disappeared instantly, leaving only a cold expression.

She really couldn’t understand these women, willing to ruin themselves for a scumbag.

The shop assistant glanced at Sophia with a hint of mockery in her eyes. She didn’t expect such a beautiful woman to be a mistress.

Most mistresses at least got money and houses, but this one couldn’t even afford new clothes and had to buy discounted ones. That made the shop assistant feel a sense of superiority.

But as a professional, she quickly adjusted her expression and said, "Miss, this dress suits you best."

Even if Sophia was a mistress, she had some charm. In the shop assistant’s opinion, this embroidered dress was old-fashioned and hard to sell, but Sophia wore it with an effortless elegance.

Sophia, still annoyed by her run-in with Ning Shu, took another look at herself in the mirror.

"The dress is pretty nice," she said, satisfied. "I’ll take it."

Unexpected Encounters

"Oh my, look who I found," Harper’s voice suddenly rang out.

Sophia frowned and turned around.

Harper was wearing a deep V-neck red dress with matching high heels, strutting around like she owned the place. She caught the attention of every man in the store.

Compared to her, Sophia looked elegant and refined, with an air of sophistication that made Harper both disgusted and jealous.

Harper had come to buy clothes but happened to witness Sophia and Ning Shu’s argument. In the middle of it, she had been shocked to hear that Sophia was married to Joseph yet was cheating on him with someone else.

This was huge news.

The last time they met, Sophia had slapped Harper hard. Ever since then, Harper had been looking for a way to get back at her. Today, she had come shopping with Joseph. With both new and old grudges in mind, she was determined to humiliate Sophia.

"I knew it was bad luck when I heard a crow cawing this morning, and now I’ve run into you. Sophia, you jinx," Harper sneered.

Sophia was speechless.

First, Robert’s mother, Stella. Then, Ning Shu. And now Harper?

It felt like everyone had come for her today.

But Sophia wasn’t someone who got scared easily. She was used to handling situations like this.

Dressed in all red from head to toe, Harper looked like a walking celebration. Sophia smirked and said, "If someone didn’t know any better, they’d think it was Chinese New Year and a little good luck charm had come out."

Harper’s face darkened. "Sophia, you’re the good luck charm! I’m wearing Chanel’s latest limited edition. Someone like you, from a poor family, couldn’t afford it even with a year’s salary."

"I can’t afford it, but at least I have dignity," Sophia crossed her arms and sneered. "Unlike some shameless people who do anything for money, even selling themselves just to buy clothes."

Harper’s expression turned ugly.

She had once been a spokesperson for Chanel and often shopped there. Whenever she walked in, the manager would personally greet her with a warm smile.

Seeing her arguing with a customer, the manager quickly stepped forward to smooth things over.

"Miss Li, welcome to our store."

Harper didn’t even look at the store manager. Her eyes were blazing with anger as she stared at Sophia.

"Sophia, you’re just a piece of garbage. Master Garcia can only be mine."

"Master Garcia is yours?" Sophia laughed at her. "If he’s yours, then why haven’t you married him?"

Harper was stunned for a moment, her face stiffening.

"Because you’re not good enough. You’re too dirty," Sophia sneered.

"You’re the dirty one, sewer rat!" Harper’s face turned pale. She turned to the store manager and threatened, "Don’t sell anything to this fox, or I won’t spare you!"

The store manager hesitated. He didn’t want to offend any customers, but before he could say anything, Joseph appeared.

"Master Garcia, welcome!" the store manager quickly greeted him.

The mention of "Master Garcia" caught both Harper and Sophia’s attention. They turned to look at Joseph.

Harper immediately dropped her cold attitude toward Sophia and leaned into Joseph’s arms, speaking in a sweet voice. "Master Garcia..."

Joseph’s gaze fell on Sophia, and his expression darkened.

At that moment, the air in the store grew heavy and silent, like a storm was coming. The store manager nervously asked, "Master Garcia, do you need me to clear the store?"

"No need," Joseph replied. He let Harper cling to him, enjoying the way she tried to please him.

But his eyes stayed locked on Sophia. He hated her, yet he couldn’t deny the attraction he still felt.

Sophia stood there, proud and untouchable. Her long black hair flowed over her shoulders, her swan-like neck held high. The dress she wore made her snow-white skin glow, and her knee-length skirt revealed smooth, slender legs that caught his attention.

She looked like a pure lily, waiting to be plucked. His possessive nature flared up—he wanted to grab her and crush her.

"Master Garcia..." Harper called out again, but Joseph ignored her. Her face twisted with jealousy.

"Sophia, you’re like a bad penny," Joseph mocked. "Is this where a poor person like you belongs? Get out of here."

Sophia raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Joseph, it was you and your woman who came looking for me first. Don’t act so high and mighty. Don’t forget, I was the one who dumped you and made you kneel in front of me to apologize!"

Joseph’s face instantly darkened with rage. "Sophia!" Her words burned him with humiliation. "You’re asking for it!"

Harper was delighted to see him so angry. She wished he would tear Sophia apart right then and there.

But Joseph kneeling?

She glanced at him and immediately dismissed the idea.

How could Master Garcia kneel? He was too noble for that.

"Master Garcia, Sophia became a mistress and betrayed you," Harper said, her tone full of malice. "Just earlier, another man’s wife was scolding her for being shameless. You must teach her a lesson! Of course, if you don’t believe me, you can ask the store manager."

She turned to the store manager, her eyes flashing with calculation.

"Manager, isn’t what I said true?"
