Chapter 10: Beautiful

"Millan! Millan, wake up! We are there." Came the sweet soft voice of Muye. Millan opened his eyes slowly but his eyes immediately shot open when he saw something he did not expect.

.....

Souhee walked to a certain door and knocked gracefully. After a short while, the door was opened letting her in. pacing around the room, she fed her eyes with the pretty artifacts that lay sculpted around the room. She smoothly touched them trying to take in the feel of the artifacts.

"Am here to request for your help." She spoke her reason simply as she turned to face the handsome face that lay nonchalant of any expression. He stood from his curved seat and glided to her gracefully in his well stitched A-line dress-shirt and pants with colour of royal residents.

"What if I can't help you? Will you get out, my princess?" She sighed and walked to his desk. Her face had no smile the whole time but anyone could see her beauty unscathed. Sighting a round object with a symbol intricate that pulled her in, she carried the object and studied the sign that seemed to be communicating something.

A sudden force from behind pulled the object from her hand and laid his serious eyes on her without batting an eye. She swallowed as she felt the atmosphere change. He gently cupped her face and spoke in a low gentle voice that seemed to be holding something deep.

"My princess, I can't help you. If I do, my life will be at risk. I would like to help you but you know the rules." She placed her hands on his and said, "Big brother, I won't let a soul know. Please, I need to gain power in this kingdom and all my life I only know one person who can help me and that is you. Your knowledge about magic is totally incredible." She sighed dejectedly and walked away from him.

He stood holding the intricate ball and inwardly decided. All his life, his only friend was the princess, Souhee. She cared for him and made him feel wanted and worthy. Studying magic became his passion when he realized she was struggling in the kingdom because of her inability in magic. But as time flew by, he realized it was dangerous and would cost him losing her presence. He wanted to be with her for a while longer. Looking at her dejected appearance, he could not help it but accept and help her.

"Fine. I will help but that should be our secret, okay? Not a soul should be told." Souhee smiled for the first time in their whole time inside. She walked to him and hugged his bantam manly waist. His heart flipped on their contact. Basing on her beauty and additional feature of a heart of gold, he could not have failed to love her for all those years.

.....

The cloaked woman in the cave was chanting as she sweated profusely when she received a guest. She stopped as she had footsteps approach her. Without looking at who was approaching, she asked with anger evident in her tone.

"What are you doing here?" She paused and stood up. With a smirk she continued, "Who do I thank for the pleasure of your visit my queen?" Nagjari frowned slightly at her mockery but shrugged it off and walked to the stone seat at her right.

"Are you looking for your son? Well, I guess you should stop because it will yield nothing. If you want to find him, then help me find My sister's daughter first."

The cloaked woman laughed at her words for quite a long time making Nagjari to fume with anger within. For the past twelve years, the cloaked witch never rendered any help to her. She used magic to hinder the cloaked lady from finding her son so as to use her to find Sonaya but the woman refused until date.

"Milena Hi!"

"It's Mil Hi do not forget."

"I do not give a damn about your new name from Sotchai. I need you to find her."

"Instead of finding help for your daughter, you are just here wasting time to find the most gracefully powerful witch? Your daughter needs your protection in these years but you have offered her up to those selfish beasts. Despicable!" she exhaled and continued, "Anyway so you do not waste your time, I will tell you straight forward, I will never help you."

Nagjari folded her hands in anger and stormed away from the cave.

"I will protect you Sonaya until my last breath even though it means not seeing my sons for the rest of my life."

...….

"It's beautiful." Millan complimented completely awed at the scenery before him. The island was so beautiful with all nature colours flourishing before him. They neared the shore gradually and ran through the sand beneath their feet as the trees lay before them. The sounds of birds and rushing water somewhere intrigued Millan.

"Do you hear that sound of water running?" Muye was confused as the only sounds she was perceiving were the incessant chirping of the birds. Something was definitely growing weirder with her brother. Was something wrong with Millan, she self-asked inwardly.
