Chapter 61 - Allowed or Not Allowed

Jay-jay's POV

I didn't feel that lunch. Even the food we cooked—I just didn't feel it. I was thinking about what they were talking about earlier. Kiko seems to be the one they'll come back to. That means David and Kiko fought again. I'm intrigued!

"Jay! Listening nervously?" Eman asked me.

"H-ha?"

"I told you to throw the trash out," he commanded.

I felt like I was taking the bag of trash right in front of Eman. That's because… Here you go again, Jay! Tsk! So annoying. What are their plans? When I stepped outside, I saw Keifer and the others gathering. Their conversation seemed very serious. Keifer noticed I was in a bad mood, so I went back inside.

Waiting all the time—it was like a meeting I didn't understand. They were the ones involved in the case. David was the only one sitting down. I sat in my seat and faced him.

"David…" I called his attention.

"…What happened earlier?" I forced a smile.

"He doesn't…"

"What did your girlfriend say?" I couldn't help but ask.

"She doesn't know… They're in Hong Kong now."

"Did you fight again with Kiko?" He paused for a moment, as if wondering whether I should have known.

"Jay… Is Kiko courting you?" he asked.

I noticed that the others were listening.

"H-no… I don't want to accept a lover just yet. I said that before, right?"

"He's been telling his friends that he's going to kill you. I didn't like it, so we argued."

I have to admit, I was shocked by what he said. It's really spreading?! I didn't even give permission for anything to happen. How's this going?!

"Seriously?! He did that?!" I exclaimed.

David nodded and avoided looking at me.

That guy's unbelievable. He really thinks he can just do whatever he wants!

The teacher arrived, and everything settled down. I wasn't worried anymore, but I still wanted to talk to Kiko. Our class ended quickly. I helped Eman clean and tidy up, just as we had agreed. I thought we were going home together, but when we reached the door, they separated from me.

"Where are you guys going?" I asked.

"Just… Don't ask," Rory answered.

"Why is it such a secret?" I pressed.

"Don't be stubborn," Edrix insisted.

"Why won't you take me with you?"

"Because you can't!" Kit insisted.

You're just going to fight. He even looked like a witch.

"I'm sorry, Jay… You really can't come," Ci-N said.

I looked at Yuri, hoping he'd say something, but he just looked away.

"Don't force yourself! You'll just get hurt!" Keifer threatened me.

I clenched my fists. I didn't say anything and quickly walked away from them. They called after me, but I ignored them. When I turned back slightly, I saw them chatting. When will this all stop? No way!

After talking, they walked away. Two of them had a car, while the others were walking. I decided to follow them, taking extreme precautions. Hiding when necessary—I even concealed myself behind the trash. Honestly, I didn't know if I was making the right choice. I just knew I had to follow them. We arrived at a vacant lot near the abandoned factory. Keifer and the others were ready. He even got into his car, as if they were waiting for someone. I wasn't sure who, but I wasn't going to leave. I knew they were going to meet Kiko's group. I couldn't let them fight.

As I waited, I felt someone behind me. But before I could figure out who it was, they grabbed me and covered my mouth.

David's POV

Bringing Kiko back seemed like the wrong decision. Keifer was the one who really wanted it. I didn't want trouble; I never liked fighting. I never allowed them to fight with the other section. Even I don't fight unless it's necessary. That's why I tried to fight for my position, but I still lost.

Then I remembered Jay-Jay—how worried she looked. If only I could explain everything to her.

"I think they're broken up," Kit said while he was inside the car.

"Let's go home… I'm going to check on Jay-Jay," Ci-N said.

"Please text me if you're worried about her," Eman added.

"Let's go. You can even treat us to a snack," Edrix said, slightly nervous.

"I'm sure Jay is still in the same room," Rory added.

"Let's just go," Eren suggested.

Hearing those things from them made me think—Jay-Jay is really different from Ella. They were never this concerned when Ella was around. She was a bit of a jerk. But Jay-Jay? She argues, fights for them, and doesn't back down. I thought Jay would be a big pain in the ass, but it turned out to be the opposite. It seemed like we were the problem for her.

"You're back! Ready for round two?!" Kiko asked happily.

If Jay-Jay had seen this, she wouldn't have smiled.

"You think you can do it?! Give it up! I've knocked you down several times!" Kiko taunted.

He always does this. He never stops mocking me. I put my bag down and removed my white polo.

"Are you sure?" Keifer asked me.

"I'm going against him… I should be the one facing him."

"But you've lost a few times," Yuri pointed out.

"Because I couldn't focus before. My mind was occupied."

"How about now?" Kit asked.

Honestly? It was still occupied—by my girl and by Jay-Jay. I miss my girl, and I'm worried about Jay-Jay.

"No, it's not," I answered shortly, turning to face Kiko.

His friends were already there. I was about to approach him when I heard slow clapping. We both looked up at the fence of the abandoned factory. Even without looking, I knew Keifer and the others were alarmed. Why now? Why right now?

"Keifer and the Gang—oh wait—the whole Section E!" Ram said.

Ram was the leader of the well-known gang in Samin. They had been Keifer's enemies before. I wasn't sure about Aries' group.

"What do you want?" Keifer asked.

"I just want to watch… Actually, we do," Ram answered as some of his friends stepped out.

"…We can be the judges or referees," Kiko chuckled.

"Lies… What do you really want?!" Keifer asked angrily.

"Nothing much… We just want to watch," Ram said, smiling.

"Oh wait!" He looked at his friends and seemed to take pictures of the place. "I was a guest… Some may also want to watch. Hope you don't mind."

Suddenly, a woman approached Ram. And it wasn't just anyone—it was Jay-Jay. Her mouth was taped, and her hands were tied in front of her.

"Jay!" Ci-N and the others shouted.

I also saw Kiko's concern, but he couldn't do anything. Ram removed the tape so Jay could speak. She wasn't afraid. Instead, she looked angry.

"What's your name again?" Ram asked.

"J-Jay-Jay."

"Nice to meet you," Ram said, smiling before turning back to his friends. "Let's get started. We're going to watch."

I don't know if he knew Jay-Jay was part of Section E. But I was sure he knew we knew.

"Don't bring Jay-Jay into this! What do you want?!" Kiko yelled, furious.

"I told you… We just want to watch," Ram answered, turning to Jay.

"…Right?" he asked, pinching Jay's cheek.

Jay's expression darkened. She looked at the moon, then at Kiko. Then, in a swift motion, she headbutted Ram.

Things happened too fast. Ram fell off the fence. Jay-Jay jumped down to escape the ones holding her.

Wait! Shit! The fence is too high! She might get hurt!

We both ran toward the bridge. But she fell too fast.

"JAY!"
