Lin Qing's past

After that day Wu Tian doubled his efforts in studying the eternal energy. Since that wisp was gone he tried to coax another one sealing one of his meridians. He spent a lot of time, even reducing the time spent with his family and finally a month later he succeeded in controlling another wisp.

Due to the time and effort spent he gained a bit more understanding of it. He noticed that the energy seemed to react to his intention and will. Of course he was still too weak and even controlling this minute wisp was a pipe dream. Only intense emotions and will enabled him a certain autonomy with it.

Another thing that he had noticed was that all the seven kids had a trace of eternal energy within them, he had looked for traces of it on other people but they were the only ones who had any at all.

It wasn't really concentrated but they fact they had it really surprised him. He wondered what tied him and the other kids together. As he thought of this he went to see his mother and see how she interacted with it.

As he arrived he could already feel her healthy aura from a distance. Ever since he had introduced the energy to the child. He had noticed that she had gained an additional faint aura, it was strange but he had a hunch that he had seen it somewhere.

However he didn't poke since he knew she would eventually tell him if she wanted to. What surprised him though was the fact that the aura entangled with hers had gotten much stronger and vibrant. This assured and made him happy since it meant that the energy was quite good for her.

As he entered the room, his mother smiled at him. He noticed his father was also in the room and quickly ran to greet him. It was rare to see him not busy, "You rascal, you are growing quite big aren't you."

Wu Zemin said as he laughed and stroked Wu Tian's head. Hearing this Wu Tian cheekily puffed his chest and stood on tips to look even bigger, making Wu Tian and Lin Qing laugh at his antics.

Lin Qing looked at this scene and felt at peace, she slowly stroked her belly in thought then as if she had decided something she looked at Wu Tian and her husband. She then called out to her husband.

"husband, remember how we met." She asked. Wu Zemin was quite startled by this question. Of course he remembered. The story sometimes actually seemed to spring from a novel. When Wu Zemin was a little younger he had been decided to go out hunting along with guards. Since it was hunting of course they had ventured out into the woods. They had been quietly stalking a deer, looking for a perfect shot when a loud thunderous sound shook the forest. This immediately startled them and the deer which promptly bolted in alarm.

Wu Zemin and his companions though hadn't had time to care since from a distance they could see a huge rift open in the sky then close. Some of his companions suggested they go back and report, that seemed like cultivators fighting or something, and it would be a good idea to quickly make themselves scarce. Wu Zemin of course being a hot blooded and curious young man had ignored this and spurred his horse forward.

Of course being hot blooded didn't mean he would be stupid he slowed his horse cautiously when he arrived near the area and dismounted. When he confirmed that there was no one around he had quickly searched the area.

Sweeping to and fro he had carefully but quickly searched the area and that was when he had stumbled into Lin Qing. He had found her lying on the ground, unconscious and very heavily injured, but even at that moment she still possessed a sacred but fragile beauty.

Wu Zemin had understandably been completely smitten, but like a responsible young man, he had carefully carried her to their doctor. As the prefecture young master he of course had access to the best doctors available and within time Lin Qing had been cured well. When she had woken up however, she had been in an extremely depressed mood.

When asked about her origins she had said that her memory was faulty, and no one knew of her in the entire prefecture and its surroundings since someone as outstanding as her would have been surely known. Wu Zemin, being smitten by her had of course put in all his effort to try and uplift her mood.

After some months Wu Zemin seemed to have succeeded and her gloomy mood lifted, she entertained his advances and even seemed motivated to start a business.

Within a few months the misty rain pavilion she had created was one of the most prosperous businesses within the prefecture, with elixirs and weapons never seen before.

In fact that was where vice captain Hou's shield had been purchased from. This had elevated her standing in the prefecture, already acknowledged as the top beauty in the prefecture and perhaps the country her halo had risen higher.

Wu Zemin had not stopped pursuing her, and after two years she had surprised him by agreeing to marry him. And that was how he and Lin Qing had started a family.

As he remembered all this, Wu Zemin woke up from his trip down memory lane and saw her looking at him with a warm loving smile. Her radiant face shining with a motherly beauty once again stunned him, and a sense of achievement rose in his heart. She was really the love of his life.

As this thought rose in his mind. He had her begin to speak, and the first worlds out of her mouth stunned him.

"I am not from this world." She began, " I come from a higher world. I was born in a cultivation sect, a really powerful one. I was found to have great talent and a crucial gift that was very important to the sect. You see the sect had ancestors that had ascended before to the immortal realm.

The sect kept in contact with them through a certain formation. Even though it was difficult to send stuff, they could communicate and receive teachings directly from an immortal. This was the one of the reasons they were so powerful."
