Chapter 14 A price of survival

Adrenaline flooded her system, making her legs feel both weightless and leaden at the same time. She sprinted down the dark passageway, her pulse hammering in her ears. Each breath burned her lungs, sweat trickling down her temple.

She couldn't stop. If she did, she was dead.

She reached the entrance, her trembling hands fumbling to open the door. Before she could open it, she turned.. and her heart nearly leapt out her chest.

Red glowing eyes piercing right at her soul, she clumsily managed to open the door, she dash out..

"Aaargh.."

Her scream became muffled as a hand clamped against her mouth, pulling her away with a speed of lightning.

Olivia struggled to break free from his hold, clawing his hands, her hand grabbing anything that could hold her back.

" Shut up and stay still, if you want to survive."

A hoarse hush voice echoed behind her, his breath brushing against her ear.

Olivia hurriedly nodded her head. Little White slithered back to her pocket, hiding from sight.

He had used his power again, making her look blurry to the pursuer. He needed to rest now.

Olivia felt cold shivers down her spine, she don't know if this person was a friend or a foe. She highly doubts it to be the first one.

They both froze, when they heard footsteps coming towards them. Fear flickering in their eyes.

They were going to get caught. Running away is nothing but delaying the inevitable.

She was suddenly turned. Her back pressing against the cold stone wall. Her eyes widened slightly at the sight of the person in front of her.

"Klaus Reyes?"

A smirk ghosted across Klaus' lips. Then, without hesitation, he captured her lips. Firm. Possessive. Unyielding.

Olivia's breath caught in her throat, her body frozen between fight and surrender.

Her mind screamed for her to push him away, but her limbs refused to obey. The cold stone bit into her back, anchoring her to the reality of the moment her first kiss being stolen in the shadows, not by choice, but by necessity.

" Klaus." A voice came from behind them.

Klaus turned around to the sound of the voice " Dad." He called out, as if he was surprised.

" Did you see a girl passing here?" His father's voice was cold and powerful.

" No I didn't." He said with an innocent voice.

His father shifted slightly, eyes narrowing, as suspicion flickered across his face. He made a move to step closer, but Klaus subtly adjusted, blocking his line of sight.

"Dad," Klaus murmured, voice smooth, almost lazy. "She's a little shy. Do you mind giving us some space?"

A beat of silence. The tension hung between them, razor-sharp.

His father's eyes darkened, his fist clenched. " It is already past curfew, get back to your room."

" Yes, I will."

The Father walked away, searching for the intruder, whom he could not exactly remember. His head hurts as he tries to remember her features. Something tells him his son was hiding something from him. He cannot let anyone find out about his secret. His eyes burned with anger as he searched other places.

" Find out the identity of the girl he is with." His voice was cold, sharp, deadly. The father told the monster who appeared behind him.

Meanwhile Olivia stood frozen in shock and disbelief. Her first kiss was gone just like that.

An amusing smirk formed on Klaus lips, but before he could say a word, something bit him.

A groan escaped from his mouth, it was so fast that he did not see what had bit him, he looked at his hand, two bloody marks stared angrily at him, before blood started to drip from it.

"F**k."

"That's what you get, when you touch something that belongs to me." Little White hissed. His words were unheard by them.

Pain shot up in his hand, he held his hand groaning in pain. He felt as if his hand had been burned in a hot fiery fire.

Olivia snapped back to reality, her breath coming in ragged gasps. Klaus Reyes just kissed her. No. No. This wasn't happening.

Her fingers trembled as she instinctively touched her lips, her skin still tingling with the heat of the stolen kiss. A surge of emotions, rage, confusion, humiliation, crashed over her in waves.

But she couldn't process this now. She had to leave.

Without another thought, she turned on her heel and bolted, her footsteps echoing in the dark hallway.

"What just happened?" She muttered under her breath. All the incidents flooded in head, it was so overwhelming that she could not process everything.

The Survivor Academy is not what it seems, the blue pills come from monsters, and who are they looking for, why? And I just got my kiss stolen away.

Her hand traced around her lips. His lips were so soft..

She quickly shook her head to stop thinking about it. She rises up her head only to find three pairs of eyes, staring at her in amusement.

" Don't tell me you found your true love's kiss." Claire broke the silence with her snarky remarks.

Olivia ignored them, heading towards her bed, she removed her boots, throwing them underneath her bed. She was about to lie down when she heard a knock on the door.

They were all startled, but Olivia felt dread wash over her. Emma walked towards the door. She looked through the hole in the door to see who was there.

She quickly opened the door " Mr. Micheal." She called out in respect.

Micheal stepped inside without acknowledging her, his once warm brown eyes changing to an unnatural shade of blue. The room's temperature dropped, the air thickens with something unseen, something suffocating.

'Play along' a voice echoed in her head, she looked at Little White who brought his head slightly out of her pocket.

She looked a little confused, but this was not the first he had heard him speak. She decided to heed to his advice.

The girls walked lifelessly towards him, they stood in a horizontal line, seeing that Olivia quickly imitated them.

" Who among you went out 30 minutes ago?" He asked.

Three of them snapped their heads towards Olivia "She." They all stated uniformly.

Olivia's heart skipped a beat, she struggled to keep a straight face.

Micheal stood in front of her, staring right into her eyes. " Why did you go outside after the curfew?"

" To get fresh air" her voice sounded like a monotone.

" What did you see?" His eyes darkened, his voice dripping with evil intent.

A sudden pressure coiled around her mind, tightening like an unseen vice. Olivia's body tensed, her lips parting against her will. The words clawed up her throat, desperate to escape. She was losing control.

"I... saw..."
