Chapter 502

Takumi watched as Tighnari and Saino left.

After sending the two away, Takumi turned around and went to do his own thing.

Because it was Saturday, the streets were bustling with people.

Just when Takumi was about to return to the General Affairs Department, he received a text message from Guizhong, asking him to go to the Mechanism Workshop.

Seeing this message, Takumi was puzzled but still made his way to the workshop.

When he arrived, Guizhong was already waiting for him. Seeing him approach, she waved at him. "Over here."

At this time, Guizhong was with Cloud Retainer. Seeing Takumi arrive, they both greeted him.

"What's going on?" Takumi asked, looking at the two of them with a puzzled expression.

"I asked you to come over today to help check if there are any problems with our rocket," Guizhong explained. "If everything is in order, we will proceed with the launch.

"However, launching a rocket requires a special launch pad."

She then turned to Takumi with expectant eyes.

So, they needed funds.

There were two main reasons for calling Takumi: one, to check for any issues with the rocket; and two, to secure funding for building the launch pad.

Hearing this, Takumi was speechless. Was this just an excuse to ask for money?

But had they already built the rocket?

Curious, Takumi followed them into the Mechanism Workshop.

At that moment, a massive rocket lay in the workshop.

Seeing it, Guizhong smiled and said, "Come check it over. If there are no problems, we will start working on satellites for weather monitoring and surveillance of Liyue.

"Then, we will construct the launch pad and send this thing into the sky.

"I just wonder if the Heavenly Principles will interfere."

Her words carried a deeper meaning.

Takumi froze for a moment before laughing. "Don't worry. I'll have a pleasant exchange with them later."

He smirked slightly. Was she worried about interference? That wasn't a problem. He would go and have a chat with them.

Takumi doubted they would refuse. If they did, he would ensure they changed their minds.

Cloud Retainer nodded with a smile. "Be careful."

Although she said that, she wasn't worried at all. Zhongli had already told her about Takumi's strength. Even those above couldn't match him.

Perhaps the Heavenly Principles would end up being subdued by Takumi instead.

Takumi walked over to the rocket, carefully inspecting it.

Activating the power of the Herrscher of Reason, he began examining every component.

"It's reusable?" he noted. "It can go up and return? The balance system is well-designed. Did you scale up the previous aircraft model?"

Feeling the structure of the rocket, Takumi was impressed.

It was clearly an enlarged and improved version of their previous aircraft prototype.

Hearing his remarks, Cloud Retainer nodded. "That's right. Guizhong was quite fond of her previous plane. After dismantling and studying it thoroughly, she designed this rocket."

"From what you're saying, does it mean everything is fine?" she asked.

Takumi nodded. "There's nothing wrong with it. It's ready for space travel."

Hearing this, Guizhong and Cloud Retainer sighed in relief. Now that the rocket was confirmed to be functional, they could proceed with the next phase.

Guizhong then spoke up. "If there are no issues, then we need the funds to construct the launch pad. I have already prepared the blueprints."

She pulled out a rolled-up blueprint and handed it to Takumi.

Taking it, Takumi unrolled the document and examined it.

"You're planning to build a full-scale rocket launch center?" he asked, his mouth twitching slightly.

The design included an entire complex for rocket manufacturing and development.

Guizhong nodded. "That's right. The current workshop is too small. It's fine for small-scale projects, but not for something of this magnitude.

"Once large rockets are in production, moving them in and out will become difficult.

"It's better to relocate now."

Indeed, the current workshop might work for now, but as technology advanced, they would need more space.

Takumi nodded after reviewing the blueprints.

"That makes sense. So, where do you plan to move it?"

Guizhong retrieved the blueprint and smiled. "Near my residence. At first, I considered Guyun Stone Forest, but that would be too troublesome logistically.

"So I decided to build it closer to home. I'll clear out a large area and construct the launch center there.

"All aerospace-related projects can be based there.

"From that location, launches will be visible from both Guili Plains and Liyue Harbor."

She explained her plan in detail.

There was ample open space near her home, making it an ideal location for a space program.

If not for the logistical challenges, she would have built it in Guyun Stone Forest.

After listening, Takumi nodded. "That works."

"If that's the case, I'll send people over. I'll inform Keqing and have her arrange the necessary preparations."

As the head of land management, Keqing would oversee the relocation process.

Guizhong nodded in agreement.

With everything settled, she handed the blueprints back to Takumi. "Then, I'll leave this to you.

"And don't forget, you still need to deal with the ones in Celestia."

The corners of her mouth curled into a smirk.

Takumi laughed. "Leave it to me."

Everything was now set in motion. The launch was imminent.
