Adrian and Deborah danced like they had a whole lot of practice before stepping on the dance floor.

As always, she was the center of attention but at this moment,

Adrian was also caught up in the attention web.

Elizabeth couldn't contain her despair, all she could think of was why Barbara wasn't getting this kind of attention.

Barbara who was dancing with Jandel couldn't focus on her dance with him.

She made the wrong moves a lot because she was staring at Deborah and wondering who her handsome partner was.

Johnson couldn't help but also notice the young, handsome and dominant man dancing with his little princess Deborah.

He thought to himself "This wasn't the young man who came to meet me in the hospital. He looks way better than when I saw him there, I guess it might be him, maybe my old age is catching up with me "

Oscar couldn't stand the sight of Deborah dancing with Adrian.

He felt like his heart was going to explode from his chest. He was drinking more than usual now oops.

Adrian was keen to observe everyone's reaction as he danced with Deborah.

He felt a bit amused but acted nonchalantly still.

He then whispered into Deborah's ear"Your family members and some onlookers are highly observing both of us "

Then, Deborah opened her eyes to see all that was going on in her environment.

She then held Adrian closer and said "Pay no attention to them, it's just a dance "

Adrian replied "Be careful of that one, she seems like she plans to switch dance partners, don't worry I'm all yours " He ended with a wink.

He was referring to her step-sister Barbara.

Adrian then continued whispering to Deborah" I still haven't gotten a reply to my proposal "

Deborah feigned ignorance and replied"I don't know what you are talking about "

Her cheeks were red now and she seemed a bit embarrassed.

Adrian noticed and smiled, he then said

"You acting as my plus one to my company's event to make up for how rude you were to me the first day we met "

Deborah rolled her eyes and chipped in "You were the one who was rude at first, I just returned the energy "

Adrian was a bit angry and at the same time attracted to her.

He liked how she could be cold for one moment and hot the next.

Exactly his kind of woman he thought

"The driver will come to pick you up, I will send you the invitation soon "

As soon as he was done talking, the dance session ended.

Barbara quickly left Jandel and ran to where Adrian and Deborah were.

" Debby sis, how come you didn't introduce me to your boyfriend "

Barbara said while extending her hand to Adrian

She looked at him lustfully, Adrian and Deborah could feel the energy coming from her

Deborah felt a bit disgusted,

She thought "Doesn't this Barbara of a girl have no shame?"

A slight frown appeared on Deborah's face and she then said " He's not my boyfriend "

Adrian then shook her hand and complimented Barbara

" Deborah didn't tell me she had a sister as beautiful as this, now I know why all the young men here wanted to have a dance with you, I am Adrian"

Barbara blushed so hard that her cheeks started hurting her

She then gave Deborah a gentle push and told Adrian her name.

The three of them were engaging in a conversation and getting to know each other.

Oscar came over to mate guard Deborah but disguised.

He tried to sound as though he came to remind Deborah of a certain schoolwork.

Adrian could see through him and then said

" Bro could you not be a nerd for once and just enjoy yourself, there's more to life than books "

Oscar gritted his teeth and felt like telling him that he wasn't referring to him

He held back just because of the respect he had for the Dean.

Edward and Joe had now changed their outfits and resumed the party like nothing happened.

They walked up to Johnson who was exchanging pleasantries with guests.

Johnson then told him, guests,

"Just give me a minute I will be right back, this seems urgent "

Johnson then looked at both of his servants with an urgent face asking

"Any good news? Is the ring still in the mansion? "

He was growing impatient.

Edward spoke first saying" We have both good news and bad news sir, We found the ring sir but we think you need to take a seat for what we are about to say next "

Johnson disagreed and replied"I can handle it, who was the culprit, speak up Young men "

He noticed they were a bit hesitant.

Joe then said " It's Deborah sir , we can't be too sure but we found it in her room "

Johnson didn't utter a word for some seconds and he looked at Deborah and said

"This can't be, there must be some mistake. Deborah has never stolen anything before in her entire life "

Edward and Joe just gave a long sigh and then told Johnson

" Sir we would have to take her out of here and interrogate her for a bit and hear what she has to say, please we hope for her sake and yours that you don't interrupt sir "

Johnson gave both of them a look of defiance and said " Never! , don't forget who you are talking to and yes don't be worried I can handle my emotions "

Edward said" It's settled then, we shall call her out and begin "

They marched to where Deborah was having fun and slowly asked her

"Miss Deborah could you come with us, we have some questions to ask you right now. It won't take time, it relates to Johnson's"

Deborah was confused but nevertheless, she asked

"Hope there's no problem gentlemen?"

They told her that it was nothing of that sort as they didn't want to create a scene and interrupt the party

Adrian felt otherwise and offered "I think I should come with her just in case"

Joe then told him " You will do well to stay out of this, it's a family business "

Adrian retorted "It became my business since she became my dance partner "

They both agreed to let him come with them so as not to increase commotion since some guests were getting suspicious.
