I didn't think long and immediately asked the system to start the next summon.

Summoned Walter Joseph Kovacs from the Guardians comic book.
Power level: 10.
What will you do with him?
Summon/absorb/keep him in storage.
Wow, isn't that Rorschach? Indeed he is, quite an interesting acquisition, however absorbing him would be extremely useless, though summoning him would be a bit dangerous. Though... he may be a bit of a nutcase, but what's wrong with killing the dregs of society and non-humans who go against the law? While I don't like overkill, as long as he does his duty, it's not a big deal. I'll summon him a little later by teleporting to Metropolis.
It's true, I'll have to accept him into the squad, but not publicly. Still, his actions can damage our reputation, so he will work for us covertly. We will cover him and call him to help us, but he will not be officially in the squad, at least for the public. We'll still pay him a salary, as well as other benefits.
All right, enough of this, it's time to start the next draft. System, go!

Ajax of Genshin Impact has been summoned.
Strength level: 8.
What will you do with him?
Summon/Absorb/Deploy/Store him
Ajax? Genshin? Who is that? Although... I think that's what Tartaglia's name was originally. Heh, now that's interesting. A character with the power to control water and lightning, along with excellent combat skills. That's exactly what I need.
We could probably be friends, but I want to absorb him. System, go ahead.
And the darkness...
*****
In a small village in the Snow region, a boy was born and named after a hero of the past, Ajax. However, as a child he did not stand out in any special way, being an ordinary boy who loved his family. From interests in childhood he had only ice fishing with his father, and stories and hero in honour of whom he was named during this fishing trip. The boy didn't know which of these he liked the most, but he was sure that one without the other was not so wonderful.
Although the boy dreamed of being just like the great hero, he was rather cowardly and somewhat indecisive, which was normal for his age. Still, when he reached the age of fourteen, he simply got bored with the peaceful life, and grabbed a sword in his hands and ran away from home in search of adventure.
However, he soon realised how foolish his idea had been. He almost immediately got lost in the snowy forest, and after a couple of hours he came across angry bears. In his attempts to get away from them, he didn't really look at the road, which is what caused him to fall. But not into some pothole or something, but into the abyss, a place that changes people.
To Ajax's luck, he was found by a great swordsman who decided to teach the boy the art of being a warrior. What the boy went through cannot be described in words, but it was excruciating, difficult and extremely exhausting. However, the results were even more fantastic.
Three months later, the boy came out of the Abyss completely different. He was no longer an indecisive dreamer, but a warrior who sought battle and power.
When he found his family, he learnt that only three days of real time had passed, which was already strange, but the boy didn't care all that much. He had changed a lot and now brought chaos everywhere he appeared.
He was followed everywhere by fights that he won. The boy enjoyed it, as well as training to the point of passing out. However, it did not end well, and one of the fights almost led to the death of one of Ajax's opponents.
So his father decided to send him to Fatuya, the military group of Snowy, their home country, in the hope that they would be able to instil discipline in him. However, the boy was not upset, but on the contrary, he was happy. So much so that he defeated a group of well-trained Fatuya fighters.
And with that he attracted those people who were at the top of the power in Snowy, the Forerunners, the strongest warriors, who were ruled by the Queen herself, the great ruler of their homeland.
Thanks to them, Ajax began to engage in frequent battles, which brought him more and more pleasure, and which made him stronger. All of this eventually led to Ajax becoming a Forerunner himself, earning the title "Childe" Tartaglia.
From then on, he began travelling to distant parts of the world, intervening in various conflicts, bringing chaos there and enjoying it. He grew stronger and stronger, and even stronger in this he was helped by the new powers he had gained. The Eye of God, an artefact bestowed upon a select few who are able to attract the gods with their desires, as well as the Eye of Spoil, a special version of the eyes of the gods created in Snowdonia.
Along with all of this, Childe became even stronger and gained a power that gave him the ability to challenge even stronger enemies.
Ajax excelled in all styles of combat, as well as in the use of almost any weapon, and never stopped training, wanting to master everything perfectly.
And so he was once again sent on a mission to another part of the world. A distant region, Li Yue, where he was on a mission given by the Empress herself.
With the help of internal intelligence, he had learnt all the information he needed, and came to the ruler of Li Yue himself, with whom he made a deal. What was needed by his Queen was at this ruler, and so Child decided to discuss everything with him at once.
And when everything went according to plan, so boring though it included battles, an unexpected element showed up on this scene. A strange traveller, able to harness the powers of the elements without the eyes of a god or spoiling, and not at all limited to the elements alone.
This immediately struck Childe as interesting and piqued his interest. And then Childe decided to guide this guy to eventually fight him.
And he succeeded. After completing his plans, the latter immediately came to the place where he himself had lured the boy to fight him. And their fight was simply beautiful.
At that moment Ajax used almost all weapons perfectly, except the bow, so he preferred to fight with it. But that didn't apply to worthy opponents. And this guy had proven himself worthy enough.
Child fought them first with the Eye of God and then with the Eye of Spoil, and the boy was able to defeat him, which made Child use his trump card.
The time spent in the abyss not only made him an excellent fighter, but also gave him the opportunity to know the abyss itself. And with its power, he was able to combine the powers of the eye of the god and the spoils, creating a perfect form in which his power was immeasurably enhanced.
There was a final battle between the boy, who also used two different elements, and was an excellent swordsman, and Ajax, at the height of his power and desire to win.
They fought for a long time, each giving their best, and each enjoying this bout. However, this battle had to end in defeat, and unfortunately for Ajax, it was his.
With a final swing of his sword, the lad stabbed Childe through and through, leaving a fatal wound on his body. The battle did not end in his favour, but Ajax was not so upset, for it was an honour to die in a battle with a great warrior.
He only felt sorry for his family, for he loved them and knew that the news of his death would not bring them any happiness...
*****
This is a different story from the one in the game. However, the stories of those I draft are always different as well, so there's nothing wrong with that. Moreover, what I find quite interesting is that in the case of Chald, I could clearly feel many of his emotions. It was quite vivid and made me feel like Ajax himself at many points in his life.
And it's all very strange. Why is it that the emotions of some absorbed characters are as depersonalised as possible, when as the emotions of others I feel almost as my own. Hmmmm, perhaps the point is some sort of affinity. Since the system doesn't want to change my personality, it only lets me feel the emotions of characters similar to me.
Sounds pretty logical, actually... but okay, time to summon the last one. I wonder who it will be?
The summoning is done.
The victim's soul is evaluated.
A suitable summoner is sought...
The summoner is found.
The summoning is successful.
Uther Lightbringer from Warcraft has been summoned.
Strength level: 8.
What will you do with him?
Summon/Consume/Store him in the warehouse.
Unexpected result... A real paladin from warcraft... Well. at least it's not an inquisitor from Waha. I don't really want to absorb him. There's the matter of his somewhat dubious powers and the spirits he draws from. Nothing against it, but I don't want to use it myself.
But I can summon him... I can do it, but in our world it will be more difficult for Uther, because he lived almost in the Middle Ages, even though it was magical. However, he will definitely be able to get used to it, and if we take into account the fact that I will have to face all sorts of evil, demons and dark magicians in the future, then the paladin's help will not be superfluous.
Then I'll summon him as well, along with Rorschach. Time to return to Metropolis and make Semilia happy with my new abilities...
