Who's Liam Stone

"Liam, where are you?" His mother asked over the phone as she restlessly paced around the spacious living area.

" Your grandfather wants you home early because he needs to make an important announcement, and he said he can't make it without your presence here," she said.

"I will be there soon." The groaning in his voice shows he knows what he has to say, but she is clueless and curious, so she will only wait for her son to show up soon so she can hear the important announcement the older man has to make.

"What did he say?" Liam's father asked.

"He said he's on his way, but what do you think he wants to announce this time?"

Henry scoffed as he stared at his wife for asking such a question. Mr. Thomas is his biological father, but he is a man of his world, and no one, not even him, can dare to think of what he has in mind.

"How do you expect me to know what he has to say, or are you forgetting that I'm not staying inside him? You are as curious as I am, so let's wait until Liam gets here rather than ask impossible questions.

"There's barely anything you know about." She shrugged.

Aurora's POV

I sat across the bed, looking into space; all I had in mind was my grandfather's request.

Different questions filled my head, and the only one in the best position to give answers to them was my grandfather, who was unfortunately on his deathbed.

I hate to admit he might leave me alone, but I wish it could be avoided.

But then he came with a condition: marry a stranger to continue the family's legacy.

Even though Lisa knows Mr. Thomas, I have yet to learn who he is because I'm not interested in knowing him.

But my question is, what exactly is this family's legacy that I have to continue?

"Why are you so deep in thought?" I heard, startled by shock. I had no idea Lisa was already in the room with me because I had many things on my head.

"You scared me," I said, shifting comfortably on the bed.

"I didn't mean to, but are you okay?" She walked close to me as she asked; her eyes were filled with worry.

There are just two of us in this house, but my grandfather's health made the whole place lonely.

"I'm trying to be fine.

I hope all of this was a bad dream, and I hope I wake up from it soon; I can't imagine how life would be without my grandfather."

" I understand your pain, and that's why you should do whatever he wants. You have to start first by taking charge of the company; your grandfather would want you to do that. You can no longer run away from your responsibility," she said.

"I certainly don't have to do that yet; I have you and my grandfather. You two can do all the work like you have always done; count me out." I shrugged lazily.

"Stop doing this to yourself, Aurora. You have to embrace reality. Your grandfather can't be with us forever, and you can't shy away from that sad truth forever," Lisa said.

" How long do you want to go on with this, Aurora? Let's stop this now and keep our eyes on the future. I'm sure you want to make your grandfather proud.

I'm sure you want to see him smile brightly at you as soon as he gets better." She said, desperately holding my hands.

She is right, but I have other things to ask because I will never embrace the reality she wants me to.

"That reminds me, who was that old man at the hospital? You seem like you know him. Is he my dad?" I asked curiously.

"That's one more reason you must take over the family's business. Who doesn't know Mr Thomas Stone in the business world?" she asked rhetorically.

"I guess he's popular then, but why don't I know him?" I mumbled.

"That's because you have never been interested in the business, and Mr. Thomas is not only popular in the business world, everyone knows him. I think he is close to your grandfather because I have seen them together most of the time."

"How come I don't even know him?"I shrugged, walking over to my bathroom.

"Well, that's because you don't want to know; you aren't interested in anything.

If she knew the man, she would be the only one who could tell me who this guy was. I need to know the guy my grandfather wants me to marry.

Who exactly is he, and how can he help me? How is he related to the family's legacy, and why does he trust him that much?

"I have a job for you, Lisa," I said, making her look up with curiosity.

"A job? What job?" she asked, walking over to me.

She might know something about Liam Stone since she knows about his grandfather.

"Yes, I want you to find out about Liam Stone. I need to know everything about him, including what he looks like, his height, what he does for a living, and everything you think I should know."

"Like seriously?" She asked with her hands akimbo like I said something I shouldn't have.

"Is there a problem?" I asked, looking confused. Her appearance was confused, making me wonder what the problem was.

" You don't know Liam Stone?" She asked.

"Oh God! Liam Stone is Thomas Stone's grandson, the man at the hospital, and Liam Stone is his successor. You are killing me!" She groaned in frustration.

"I guess you know him too. How is it that I know no one?"

"Anyway, I will bring your results to you later. I need to rest my head on your frustrating questions. You might as well ask me who your grandfather is," she said, walking away.

"Do I need to know any of them? She's making it sound like a big deal when I feel it's not?."
