Chapter 33: Settling In

After finalizing the apartment, Gen and Lee started moving in. The place was empty, but it already felt different—like a new start.

Gen stretched her arms. "Alright, first things first, we need a huge fridge."

Lee sighed. "That's your priority?"

Gen nodded. "Of course. How else will I store all the food for my lovely wife?"

Lee ignored her and looked around. "We should get a proper bed first."

Gen smirked. "Oh? Planning to share a bed already?"

Lee shot her a glare. "No. Just being practical."

Gen chuckled. "Sure, sure."

They spent the day picking out furniture and decorations. Lee focused on simple and elegant designs, while Gen picked whatever caught her eye.

At one point, Gen held up a ridiculous, heart-shaped pillow. "This is perfect for us."

Lee shook her head. "Absolutely not."

Gen pouted. "You have no romance in your soul."

Lee ignored her and moved on.

After hours of shopping, they finally got back to their new place.

Gen flopped onto the couch. "Moving is exhausting."

Lee sat beside her. "We haven't even moved our stuff yet."

Gen groaned. "Then let's take a break."

Lee leaned back, closing her eyes for a moment. It was quiet, just the two of them in an empty home.

Gen glanced at her. "You like it here?"

Lee nodded. "Yeah. It feels… nice."

Gen smiled. "Good. Because I plan to stay here forever."

Lee sighed. "Don't say weird things."

Gen smirked. "It's not weird if it's true."

Lee didn't answer, but her face softened.

Gen stretched. "Alright, let's order food. First meal in our new home."

Lee nodded. "Fine. But no junk."

Gen grinned. "You're so strict. But okay, wife, whatever you say."

Lee threw a pillow at her. "Stop calling me that."

Gen laughed, dodging it. "Never."
