Chapter 34: First Night in Our Home

After finishing dinner, Gen and Lee sat on the floor since they hadn't bought a dining table yet.

Gen stretched her legs. "Eating on the floor brings back memories."

Lee raised an eyebrow. "Of what?"

Gen smirked. "College days. Late-night ramen. Stolen cafeteria food."

Lee sighed. "Why am I not surprised?"

Gen leaned closer. "Wanna hear about the time I snuck into the kitchen and—"

Lee held up a hand. "No. I don't."

Gen chuckled. "Boring as always."

After cleaning up, they walked around the apartment, checking each room again.

Gen stepped into the bedroom and looked around. "This will be our room."

Lee froze. "Our?"

Gen grinned. "Of course. We're married, remember?"

Lee crossed her arms. "You're sleeping on the couch."

Gen sighed dramatically. "So cruel."

Lee ignored her and walked to the window. The night view of Seoul was beautiful, lights shining like stars below them.

Gen stood beside her. "Nice, huh?"

Lee nodded. "Yeah."

Gen suddenly smirked. "I was thinking… since we're married, shouldn't we at least try sleeping together?"

Lee's eyes narrowed. "No."

Gen pouted. "Why not?"

Lee turned to her. "Because I don't trust you."

Gen placed a hand over her heart. "You wound me."

Lee sighed. "Go to sleep, Gen."

Gen grinned. "Together?"

Lee glared. "Couch. Now."

Gen laughed but didn't argue. She flopped onto the couch while Lee went to bed.

But as she lay down, staring at the ceiling, Lee couldn't stop thinking about how natural it felt being with Gen.
