Chapter 57: Love, Teasing, and a Growing Belly

The morning sun peeked through the curtains, casting a soft golden glow over the room. Lee stirred, feeling the warmth of Gen's body pressed against her. A lazy smile formed on her lips as she stretched slightly, only to realize that Gen was already awake—watching her with a mischievous smirk.

"Good morning, my beautiful wife," Gen murmured, brushing a strand of hair from Lee's face.

Lee groaned, burying her face into the pillow. "Too early…"

Gen chuckled. "It's almost noon."

Lee peeked at the clock, blinking in surprise. "Wait, seriously?"

Gen grinned. "Yup. Guess I tired you out."

Lee's face turned red as she swatted Gen's arm. "Stop saying things like that first thing in the morning."

Gen laughed, rolling onto her back. "You're so cute when you're flustered."

Lee sat up, rubbing her eyes. "We need to get up. Mom might drop by again."

Gen stretched lazily, unbothered. "If she does, I'll make sure she knocks this time."

Lee shook her head with a sigh but couldn't hide her smile. "You're impossible."

"And you love me for it," Gen said, winking.

Lee rolled her eyes but leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to Gen's lips. "Unfortunately, I do."

Gen hummed in satisfaction. "Now that's a good morning."

Lee climbed out of bed, grabbing her robe. "I'm going to shower. Try not to get into trouble while I'm gone."

Gen smirked, watching her disappear into the bathroom. "No promises."

As the water started running, Gen stretched again, feeling completely at ease. No interruptions, no stress—just a perfect morning with the love of her life.

Life was good.

And she intended to keep it that way.

The months leading up to the baby's arrival were anything but peaceful for Lee—thanks to Gen.

From the moment Lee's pregnancy started to show, Gen took on the role of the most caring yet mischievous wife ever. She spoiled Lee with all her favorite foods, gave her foot massages when she felt tired, and made sure she got enough rest.

But of course, Gen being Gen, she also never missed a chance to tease her wife.

One evening, Lee was sitting on the couch, rubbing her belly while scrolling through baby articles on her phone. Gen walked in, holding a glass of juice. She sat down beside Lee and placed a hand on her stomach.

"You know," Gen murmured, pressing a soft kiss on Lee's cheek, "you're even more beautiful with a baby bump."

Lee rolled her eyes. "Are you trying to flirt with me again?"

"Is it working?" Gen smirked, her fingers lightly tracing circles on Lee's thigh.

Lee swatted her hand away. "Not when I'm this huge and exhausted."

Gen gasped dramatically. "Huge? Babe, you're glowing. You're sexy."

Lee laughed. "Tell that to my swollen feet."

Gen grinned and immediately grabbed Lee's legs, pulling them into her lap. "Gladly. Time for my special massage service."

Lee sighed in relief as Gen started rubbing her feet. "Okay, this is nice."

"See?" Gen winked. "Your wife is the best."

Lee hummed in agreement, eyes closing as she relaxed.

But of course, Gen couldn't let the moment stay innocent for too long. Her hands started trailing higher, rubbing slow circles on Lee's calves, then her thighs.

"Gen," Lee warned.

"Hmm?" Gen replied innocently, inching closer.

Lee opened one eye. "I know what you're doing."

Gen smirked, leaning in to kiss her neck. "And?"

Lee sighed, but the way her breath hitched gave her away. "You're taking advantage of a pregnant woman."

Gen chuckled against her skin. "I'm taking care of my wife. Big difference."

Lee tried to glare at her, but it was impossible when Gen's lips moved along her jaw, her hands sliding up her sides.

"You should be focused on the baby," Lee managed to say.

Gen kissed her softly. "The baby's fine. Mama deserves some attention too."

Lee gave up resisting after that.

Throughout the months, this became a routine—Gen spoiling Lee, teasing her, and taking every opportunity to be close to her.

Even when Lee complained about her mood swings, food cravings, or how hard it was to sleep comfortably, Gen was always there, making her laugh, holding her close, and reminding her how much she was loved.

As her due date approached, Lee often found herself staring at Gen when she wasn't looking—wondering how she got so lucky.

And Gen? She never let a single day go by without reminding Lee just how much she loved her, in every way possible.
