Titan Industries Pursuit – 85th Street Overpass
The Titan Valkyrie-Class Warframe stood in their path, its massive frame radiating authority and menace.
The pilot? Valkyrie.
A woman built like a soldier, enhanced with top-tier cybernetics, precision in every movement, and absolutely no patience for Kai's nonsense.
Inside their getaway vehicle, Kai stared at the mech. "Nova?"
Nova gripped the wheel. "Yeah?"
"Please tell me you have a plan."
She revved the engine. "I have a very stupid plan."
Kai sighed. "Of course you do."

Valkyrie Engages
Valkyrie's voice came over their speakers, calm and cutting.
"Surrender, and I will consider sparing you."
Kai blinked. "Wow. That almost sounded merciful."
Nova grinned. "Too bad we suck at following orders."
With that, she slammed the gas.
The vehicle lurched forward, tires screeching as they barreled toward Valkyrie's mech.
For a second, it almost looked like suicide.
Then, at the last possible second—
Nova drifted.
The car skidded sideways, passing just under the mech's swinging arm. The plasma cannon fired, missing them by inches and obliterating the road behind them.
Kai shouted. "COULD YOU WARN ME BEFORE YOU PULL INSANE STUNTS?!"
Nova cackled. "WHERE'S THE FUN IN THAT?!"
Valkyrie turned, already repositioning. Target locked.
Kai knew they were seconds away from being blown to hell.
Time for some improvisation.

Kai Hacks a Mech (While Screaming, Obviously)
Kai yanked out his cyberdeck.
No time to think.
He dove into the Titan mech's network, his fingers flying over the keys.
Firewalls slammed up.
He broke them.
Security AI launched counterattacks.
He dodged them.
Valkyrie was about to fire—
Kai disabled the targeting system.
Valkyrie's mech jerked to a halt, glitching violently.
For the first time, she sounded mildly surprised.
"…Impressive."
Kai panted. "Holy crap, that actually worked."
Nova whooped. "That's my hacker boy!"
Kai groaned. "Never say that again."

The Chase Continues… Until It Doesn't
They tore through the city, barely escaping Titan pursuit.
Eventually, they ditched the wrecked getaway vehicle in a dark alleyway.
Kai slumped against a wall, catching his breath.
"This day is a disaster."
Nova tossed him a water bottle. "You say that like it's not your normal life now."
Kai scowled. "…I refuse to accept that."
A slow clap echoed from the alley entrance.
Both of them turned—
Valkyrie stood there, unharmed.
Kai choked. "Are you SERIOUS?!"
Nova hissed. "How the hell—? We lost you!"
Valkyrie crossed her arms. "You lost my mech. Not me."
Kai whispered to Nova. "New plan: run?"
Valkyrie smirked. "That won't be necessary."
Kai hesitated. "…Why?"
She stepped forward, examining him with cold, analytical eyes.
Then she said something that made his stomach drop.
"Titan Industries wants you alive."
Kai froze.
"…Oh. That's bad."
Nova frowned. "Yeah. Really bad."
Valkyrie tilted her head. "It depends. Surrender now… and maybe you'll like what we have to offer."
Kai gulped.
He had a very bad feeling about this.
