"No Negotiations"
The air in the cyber café grew tense.
Kai's eyes locked onto the armored figure standing in the doorway.
The Corporate Enforcer.
Titan Industries' most elite hunter. Relentless. Precise. Cold.
Her glowing red visor scanned the room, locking onto him. No hesitation. No doubt.
"Surrender now." Her voice was even, calm, and completely devoid of emotion. "Or don't. It makes no difference."
Kai's smirk flickered. "Wow. No small talk? No 'how's your day going?'"
"Your day is over."
The moment she moved, Kai dodged.
A bullet whizzed past his ear, embedding itself into a neon-lit monitor behind him.
Zero dove for cover. "You just had to piss her off, didn't you?!"
Seraph had already drawn her blade. "She's mine."
Kai grabbed her wrist. "No. I got this."
Seraph's eyes narrowed. "You're not serious."
Kai rolled his shoulders. "Trust me. I've been meaning to stretch my legs."
The Corporate Enforcer tilted her head. "Foolish."
She charged.
Kai barely had time to move before her cybernetic fist shattered a table where he'd been standing.
Glass exploded. Sparks flew.
She was fast.
Kai ducked under a second punch, feeling the heat from her servo-powered strike.
Too fast. Too strong.
If he took even one direct hit—
"You're hesitating," she said.
Kai's grin returned. "Nah. Just thinking how bad this'll look when you lose."
She moved again.
Kai met her halfway.

The Fight Begins
He sidestepped. Countered.
His fist collided with her armor—but it was like hitting a steel wall.
She didn't even flinch.
Kai barely managed to duck before a brutal roundhouse kick nearly took his head off.
Too close.
He twisted his body, letting her momentum carry her forward—then slammed his elbow into her side.
It worked. For half a second.
Then she grabbed his arm mid-motion and flipped him.
Kai hit the ground hard.
Seraph moved to interfere, but Kai threw up a hand. "Nope—stay back! I got this!"
Zero groaned. "You are literally getting your ass kicked!"
Kai coughed. "That's… part of the plan."
The Enforcer stomped toward him.
Kai gritted his teeth. He needed a new strategy.
Fast.
---
An Unlikely Weakness
As she lunged forward for the final blow, Kai's mind raced.
Titan Industries designed their enforcers perfectly. No gaps. No wasted motion.
But…
That was the problem.
They fought too perfectly.
Predictable.
Kai's smirk returned.
"Hey, quick question." He dodged another strike. "You ever fought someone who doesn't follow the rules?"
She hesitated. Just for a second.
Kai grabbed a nearby neon sign—and shoved it into her visor.
The sudden flash of light overloaded her optics.
She staggered.
Kai didn't hesitate.
He swept her legs out from under her.
She crashed to the floor. Hard.
Zero blinked. "Did… did you just win?"
Kai shrugged. "Told you. Improvisation."
Seraph smirked. "You were stalling the whole time."
Kai grinned. "She was faster. Stronger. But she relied too much on precision. Sometimes, chaos wins."
The Enforcer growled, pushing herself up.
Kai sighed. "And sometimes, it buys you just enough time to run."
The team bolted.

On the Move Again
Hours later, they regrouped in an abandoned underground tunnel.
Seraph folded her arms. "That won't be the last time we see her."
Kai wiped some blood from his lip. "Nope. She'll be twice as mad next time."
Zero exhaled. "So what now? Every faction's hunting us. And Titan's just getting started."
Kai leaned against the wall, looking at the decrypted files on his cyberdeck.
The word "Cryotube" flickered again.
His family was out there.
And he was running out of time.
Kai pushed off the wall, stretching. "We make our next move."
Seraph nodded. "And take the fight to them."
Zero smirked. "Oh, I'm gonna enjoy this."
Kai grinned. "Let's get to work."
