"Vivienne! Haven't I told you? You can throw any tantrum you want, but don't you dare say the word 'divorce'!"

"Have I been spoiling you too much lately?!"

When Kellan heard the word 'divorce', his grip on my wrist tightened, as if he wanted to crush my bones.

"Ouch—" I gasped.

The pressure on my hand gradually eased. Kellan's furrowed brow slowly smoothed out, and he cleared his throat.

"If there's something to discuss, let's talk it out. Don't keep throwing around the word 'divorce'."

His hand slowly moved to my shoulder, then traced down my back.

The face I'd shared a pillow with for six years loomed closer, but I only felt nauseous.

"Since we're at the hospital anyway, let's go ahead with the IVF treatment."

"You're about to be a mom. Don't be so hot-headed all the time. How about I go with you? Wouldn't that be nice?"

I leaned back, desperately trying to break free.

Just then, Kellan's phone rang at the perfect moment.
