Captured Murion

Kael stared into the devilish face of shadow Vayra as he slowly started to accept his fate. He was about to die miserably in an abandoned outpost to a woman he bearly knows nothing about.

Anger flared deep within Kael's heart. Like a sparke on oil, it quickly ignited into fury. He was not going to die, not today, not like this and certainly not to a cheap backstabbing bitch like her.

He was going to make them pay. He would not spare a single person's life and when he's done, he was going to eradicate anyone who chose to help them.

Through his anger, a thought emerged within his mind.

'My subjects, my subordinates, what if they're planning on killing them, what if they already killed them all.' Kael's mind went blank as his thoughts started wrecking havock within his head.

"You may have bested me, but heed my warning, if you so much as touch a hair on any of my people's heads, I'll end you all!" Kael threatened.

"Do you really think you're in a position to make threats?" Vayra asked as she stomped onto his head which was resting on the wall behind him.

"Look at the situation you're in, don't think of other people, think of how you're going to die miserably by my hands." Vayra said.

After seeing the determination in Kael's eyes, she decided to change tactics.

"If you're so worried about your people then it's only fair that you know, we started killing them a few minutes ago, by this time I'd say about half of them are dead with a good chunk of them being tortured for information." Kael's pupils dilated.

His mind and heart started racing. Vayra became ecstatic seeing Kael's expression, now she could kill him with joy. As she lifted her shadowy sword of an arm and swung it down, something changed.

The area around the entire building started glowing a light shade of blue as Vayra's shadows dispersed leaving her human hand to hit Kael's head but he didn't even feel it.

He looked at her with pure hatred in his eyes as he placed his single uninjured arm onto the ground before channelling Nullborne Matter through it and into the building.

It took more Nullborne Matter than Kael expected but he managed to bring the entire building down onto the both of them as all that was left behind was a pile of rubble.

Kael escaped the rubble in his phasing state and made his way towards the Titan Spire.

"Huh, I can't believe I forgot that she was a blessed subordinate of mine. All that power belonged to me in the first place. That's probably why she was able to use her ability so well and consistently." Kael said as the last bit of Nullborne Matter which Vayra had built up over the past day or two fused with all her accumulated energy and rushed into his body. He granted her the power and he was just as capable of taking it back.

He got to the door of the tower and just as he was about to open it, he suddenly felt all his energy escape his body as he collapsed onto the ground surrounded by a pool of his own blood.

A few minutes later the door opened as Captain Vaylan stepped out along with Sariah. Captain Vaylan checked up on Kael.

"What a disgrace. All that and all it took was a well trained assassin to leave you in a shape like this, pitiful, luckily for you, your power is very useful." He said while inspecting Kael.

"Patch him up and throw him in a cell underground, were going to get as much use as we can from him." Vaylan said as he dropped Kael's head onto the ground and walked inside.

Sariah carried Kael onto her shoulders and ran inside as the door closed behind them.

Oris and Dren had arrived in their various destinations and had begun doing the job that had been given to them by Kael.

Oris ended up in a small outpost of a hundred shrouded hearts members. It hadn't been set up in any useful location because it, just like a Majority of the other nine outposts created were just hunting outposts that were made to hunt down creatures on Drayvoss to control their population.

The members weren't given much information about what happened, all they knew was that they were rushed out of Duskwatch after being split into ten different groups of a hundred people that were then given specific missions each across the area around the Ebonridge flats. Most of these missions was to control the population of Spires around the flats to prevent a similar situation as the Dune Wyrms Domain from occurring.

Oris had spent his entire few hours that he landed trying to gather as much information as possible but realized soon enough that everyone around him was useless, none of them had any actual information to give, which naturally made him search deeper until he found out that a communication connection had been set up between all ten outposts and the Titan Spire.

Dren was a just as much luck as Oris. Except, unlike Oris, Dren managed to pick a good group to join as he ended up in a small, rapidly constructed outpost whose only major task was to harvest a rare energy source from an even rarer deposit directly at the middle of the outpost.

Dren's assigned outpost was located within a large impact crater and was prone to random sandstorms. Additionally, there was always low visibility within the outpost but everyone tried their best to make it well.

The two guards knew this job wasn't going to be as easy as they thought which prompted them to start preparing to stay long-term. At a certain point in time, they both felt a sharp sting in their chest but it lasted for only a moment so they thought nothing off it.

About half an hour after the little sting, both of them suddenly felt drained and collapsed onto the ground simultaneously as they both lost consciousness.
