Chapter 40: Entertaining friendships lll
Fiona just woke up after her little show of destruction, she grew tired that's how her body works anytime her phobia or anxiety hits her body tends to fall asleep as if it doesn't want to dwell on it. Seth's call was what woke her up, he was asking what type of Flowers he should get obviously she was able to connect it back to Jian, was he seriously asking someone who has a crush on him to recommend a flower to give someone he has a crush on
"Rejection at its finest" she said rolling her eyes which made Seth laugh
"I don't know poison ivy" she added smirking after giving Seth an idea to figure it out by asking her favorite color, a favorite color can tell alot about people then he can get flowers based on that or ask the florist for help. She even sent him a favorite color personality chat so he could see what type of favorite color has what personality traits, that would be a guide. She has accepted that Seth likes someone new but still it was just hard to accept and move on but for the sake of their friendship she wanted to. she heard a saying
'love to let go' and that's what she was going to practice doing, after the call she hung up and called for the maids to make her bath when they were done, she spent at least thirty minutes she soaking herself in there and sighing. She thought about everything, her out boast in the morning reminded her of what happened 14 years ago. Even though it has been long and she has grown to make friends even trust people and socialize it still sends shivers down her spine everytime she get's reminded of it.
After her shower she went to pick out a dress, that's when she heard a knock on her door, she was pretty sure it was her parents, they must have come early when she was sleeping she heard voices but by that time sleep had dragged her away.
"Hey mom" she said opening the door, she looked behind her but her dad wasn't there, did he go back to office. Thinking about how she may have disrupted his working hours knowing the company was very busy as of now she felt bad. Rosa noticed she was looking behind her probably for her dad so she explained
"Something urgent came up so he had to leave but he'll be back soon" thinking she was upset
"Mom look at me, totally fine" she said holding her mom by both her hands dragging her inside, the moment they got in she gave her daughter a big hug, she was trying not to cry
"No crying" Fiona said hugging her back and both woman laughed
"Going somewhere" Rosa asked and Fiona nodded, rosa knew her daughter didn't want to talk about what happened and she just doesn't want her daughter to have to remember something that made her that upset she guessed it had to do with seth and their relationship somehow but as long as her daughter was okay now she was fine and looked like she fixed whatever issue she had with seth
"Yeap, someone's birthday" she explained to her mother, after chatting a bit, Rosa left to give her daughter some space to get ready. Fiona went back to picking a dress after her mom left, she looked at the yellow dress mina had gotten her back in highschool it was one of the only yellow dresses she owned infact she has only two and the first one was a mixture of yellow, pink and blue, the yellow wasn't that dominant. When Fiona had explained to mina why she didn't like it, the girl broke down that was one of the only times she spoke about what happened to her infact her whole friend group only Berlu, Frank, Seth, and mina knew about what happened, mina had immediately gone to buy a new dress for her a peach one, Fiona sighed she really felt bad about what happened between her and mina she felt like she was unnecessary harsh to the girl. Now look she wasn't even chosen, both of them weren't, they might aswell form a support group by themselves she chuckled thinking about how they'll laugh about this situation in the future, she decided to find the peach dress mina had given her back then, she was going to wear it, it would be like a sign of truce. After she finally found the dress after some reaching she did her makeup and hair in a messy bun before she picked her phone to call mina. She texted Seth first saying no need to pick up her she'll ride with mina.
Mina was singing along to her favorite songs as she drove to the venue, she was in her happy moments until the song was interrupt by the ringing of her phone. She took a deep breath was it her mom calling her to go back, if it was her mom she won't pick if she goes back now and would have to go back again to the party that would disrupt all her plans. She took a deep breath before picking the phone up to see who was ruining her moment and she gasped 'girly pop 🤞🏾💗' she read the only person that would be was
"Fiona" she said to herself what does tha girl want now, was she gonna insult her more she was so lost in thought that the phone rang to the end, when it started ringing again, her heart skipped a beat 'ugh' she hated it how she reacted, who was fiona anyways very soon she'll have to look up to her, she sighed before picking the call
"Hello" she said, Fiona on the other side couldn't blame her, mina didn't sound cheerful like she normally does
"Hey mina" she said and mina was confused for a second why was she all cheer did seth come and everything worked out, did they get back together she was almost at the verge of tears
"Yeah whatsup" mina said after she managed to compose herself
"Um i wanted to apologize" Fiona said leaving Mina's jaw on the floor again, what was going on Fiona was apologizing to her, she could count using her fingers the amount of times fiona had apologized to her and would need a whole book and pen to wtite down how many times she offended her
"You apologizing" Mina said as if it was some sacred thing for Fiona to apologize
"Yes" Fiona laughed mina couldn't help but join in, it was like the times before seth
"Well okay go ahead, properly" She demaned
"okay okay" Fiona began she coughed before clearing her throat and began
"I apologize to my dear good friend Mina and i, Fiona was in the wrong" Mina clapped satisfied with the apology, Fiona then asked if she could pick her up and she immediately agreed, she'll try and get the gossip about what happened after. This works even better she won't be a suspect if she was in a good relationship with Fiona at the moment all that will happen.
"Okay see you in a bit" Fiona said before ending the call. Mina went back to blasting her music and singing along and Fiona went back to dressing up. The dress was an elegant and glamorous peach evening dress with a shimmering, textured fabric. It had a fitted, ruched bodice with thin spaghetti straps and long, semi-sheer sleeves that extend into flared cuffs. The dress also has a high thigh slit on one side, adding a bold and sophisticated touch. The shimmering embellishments give it a luxurious look, she coupled that with silver heels and a purse, she looked at herself in the mirror and was satisfied
"Hope the dress is not too much" she muttered to herself
"Well i can make anything pretty, it's not the dress it me" she added flipping her pony tail back she smiled and decided to wait for mina downstairs as tee took her some photos. As if on que Mina cane right after her photos
"You girls look good" tee complimented, they took some photos together before calling it quits
"You wore the dress" Mina said she was truly touched, moments like these make her question what she was even doing but give her a minute and she'll know exactly what she's doing
"Yeah, pretty" Fiona asked twirling and mina nodded
"Woah" the maids who had walked in where stunned, fiona is indeed a very beautiful lady all the compliments made fiona shy but mina began to grow jealous, the dress she got fiona was just 8k back then her dress on the other hand is 14k with all her efforts Fiona still got the spot light
"You ready" she asked and fiona nodded, fiona Said goodbye to her mom and the girls set out.
Jian was in dream land maybe it was the fact that she knew seth was preparing something for her or something else but she dreamt she was getting married to seth and everything was good and fine and everyone was shits and giggles until the officiator asked if anyone objects and bam, Mina burst in running towards her then the door was swing open again and this time ethan rushed in and before she could even hold her breath Fiona rushed in too the most confusing part even Ann walked in too a scowl on her face. Why were they ruining her wedding she was on the verge of tears even chole stood up and just removed her hells to throw right at Seth's face to say the whole dream was a chaos was an understatement then somehow Ethan managed to reach Seth and tackled him to the floor the a ringing started that was like the signal everyone just started fighting while she just stood there confused. She woke up to see it was her phone, damn how long did she sleep she checked her phone and realized she haven't slept even for an hour it was still 3 0'clock it was 3:55
"Chlo" she said answering the phone
"Hey baes" Chloe's cheerful voice greeted back
"Go check the mail house, i have something for you" chole added excitedly all the decorations were done and the girls were just getting ready too while Ethan went out to collect his gift for Jian
"I'm sleepy" Jian complained laying back down on the coach
"Girl get your ass up it's your birthday" chole scolded and jian finally gave in, she was actually awake her body just needed time to shut down and her 25 minutes would have to do for her, she got up and ready to go get her things from the mail house, the guy there already recognized her so when she arrived, he wished her a happy birthday and gave her both her packages
"Whats in this" she muttered to herself when she noticed how big Bianca and jacob's gift box was. After she got home she texted chole that she got it then put her phone away to open it
"Omo" she almost squealed, she can't believe they got her the limited edition Franklouse dress this was worth literally at least two semesters of her university, and that place isn't cheap. She had always wanted this dress, she literally saved at least 50 pins from Pinterest of models wearing the dress. She picked up the note on the dress which said
'wear me at Dex villa' no way they were going there to celebrate her birthday, anyways she was really excited she immediately got ready to change.
Mina had been strolling on her phone when she realized some had a little obsession with Franklouse even though the dress was a limited edition and was already sold out, she personally knew the designer so she used her connection to get another one in yellow.
Mina though about all that would happen as they drove away, by this time Jian was probably dressing up, she smirked.
