Jian took the quickest shower ever, she was so excited to get dolled up and put on her very nice and expensive dress that she was rushing. If she would be reborn again she'll be a fashion designer, it was just that she was bad at designing or putting her ideas into paper so she went for the next best thing food, she grew up with the best around her. Her father was a renounced chef before his passing and his cook book is still one of the most recommended cook books.
After her shower, she decided to start with her makeup then hair, she opted for a full face glam, this was one of the only times she was going for a full face but it was her birthday she might aswell. The makeup was glamorous yet soft, complementing the overall elegant look. Her skin appears flawless with a dewy, radiant finish, for the eyes she went for a subtle smoky effect with neutral or warm-toned eyeshadows, with a soft shimmer to enhance the glow. Long, voluminous lashes and well-defined eyebrows to add depth and structure, for the lips she went with a soft nude pinkish shade, keeping the look balanced and elegant and not to overshadow but compliment the whole look with a light touch of blush she was done. After strolling endlessly on Pinterest for hair styles she decided on wavy hair so she got to work and now it was time for the big show, the dress. Jian spent at least 20 minutes just admiring the dress from her favorite designer. The dress was a beautiful pink, ruffled maxi dress with a feminine and elegant design, It featured spaghetti straps and a V-neckline, with cascading ruffles running diagonally across the bodice and down the length of the skirt, the lightweight, flowy fabric enhanced its graceful appearance. It is styled with a pearl-embellished handbag, adding a touch of sophistication, she paired it with gold heels, twirling she was happy and satisfied with her look and ready to leave.
When Jian arrived at the DEx she was stunned, this was the first time she was coming to this place, the place was really bug and fancy like what everyone said
"Thank you sir," she said as she paid the cab driver and he left, she walked in, still looking around. She didn't see anyone in the lobby except two men who looked like they were cosplaying of some sort, she chuckled when she saw the clown guy, was someone else having a party too she Wondered, she watched them walk away before approaching the receptionist desk
"Hello" she smiled at the young boy at the counter but the boy just ran away which stunned jian but before she would process anything, a woman came running from the back
"I'm so sorry" she apologized bowing, she was literally at the verge of crying she probably thought she offended some big shot and was on her way to getting fired. The DEx villa was empty because everyone was prepping for a big engagement proposal from a very big shot in the entertainment circle it was prompt and they couldn't make chole cancel her appointment so basically the only people at the DEx was chole and the rest and the staff and crew that were preparing and filming at the back. The receptionist wasn't supposed to leave her desk as she was the only one available at the front
"Oh it's fine" jian awkwardly waved her off smiling, she could literally hear her sigh of relief, jian explained why she was there after the receptionist asked what she needed help with. The little boy that ran out earlier probably to call his mom that someone was at the desk was called out to escort jian
"Thesame place you took the pretty lady section B" the woman said and the boy nodded
"I'm Really sorry" once again the woman apologized and jian waved her off again. Jian was relieved when she arrived at the DEx she was worried that they most have spent alot money to book the place, especially when she reached the front desk and saw no one she was even more concerned, hoping her friends didn't book the whole place that was mad expensive and it would have cost alot but thankfully it was just a section they booked, when they got to the hall way the boy pointed
"The last door" he said offering a smile, jian couldn't help but smile back at him he was a really cute kid, seeing Jian's smile the boy got shy and blushed before running off again making jian chuckle.
Jian opened the door slowly she knew those animals for friends of hers would definitely try to scare her or something so she was planning on creeping up on them first, she had told chole she was close but what the girl didn't know was she wasn't just close she was already in the building but to her utter surprise the place was pitch black was it the wrong room or they got her before she got them before she could register anything, she heard a loud scream of happy birthday and confetti raining down like snow with bright lights. To say jian was speechless was an understatement. Jian had thought she was out smarting her friends but what she didn't know was chole and the front security at the gate had already made a deal when he saw jian get down the cab he had immediately alerted the friends beating jian at her own game. Jian was so touched and speechless she didn't realize when Chole, Rita and Juliet came to give her a group hug when she came to she immediately let out and ear piercing scream hugging the girls back
"Julli, Riri" she called out as she tried to hold back her tears, she missed these girls even fiona who had unwillingly participated in opening the confetti guns couldn't help but smile at the heart warming moment even mina had smiled along, Seth just sat in the corner she didn't want to disturb the friendship reunion.
"Gorg dress" julliet complimented after the reunion saga
"Thanks" she said smiling at chole, chole smiled back but if jian wasn't wrapped in her excitement she'll have noticed the weird way chole smiled that wasn't because yes chole did send a package outfit for jian but she didn't send that expensive dress she was wearing, renting the place and the preparations and everything had put a little hole in their pockets especially Ethan's to add a dress that was limited and already sold out redesigned was too much money but maybe Ethan had sent it knowing how much jian liked the dress and the designer, the boy was truly in love. Just as chole was wondering where Ethan was he came back with the cake singing a happy birthday this time mina, fiona and seth joined in when jian noticed them she subtly waved at Seth who smiled at her, she smiled at mina who mouthed a happy birthday, she waved at Ann who waved at her and turned to fiona but the girl she rolled her eyes and looked away, she couldn't help but scoff, fiona was just too childish who even invited her
"Blow the candle" Rita said
"Make a wish" chole reminded after making her wish she blew the candle and everyone cheered, ethan took the cake back and placed it on the table with the other food stuffs before going back to give jian a big hug
"Happy birthday sweets" he whispered in her ear
"Thanks" she said hugging him back, she was literally at the verge of tears. She knew he liked her and she was breaking his heart which made her sad , only if she could feel that way about him too but unfortunately for ethan someone was slowly stealing her heart and that wasn't him as if he knew what she was thinking he pulled back and shook his head
"I'm happy as long as your happy" he said, jian gave him a quick hug as a sign of gratitude before going off to greet the others and thank them for their efforts. The fact that jian didn't want to lose him even as just a friend was okay to him, he was important to her as she is important to him.
"Hey Ann" jian said starting her greeting process with Ann, ann smiled before giving her a hug and wishing her a happy birthday. She noticed the way Ann was looking at ethan even at the weeding but the look in her eyes at the birthday partying confirmed it for her because Ann whispered to her as they hugged
"He truly loves you"
"You truly love him" jian said back the two looked at each other before chuckling what type of love triangle was this
"Here" Ann said handing her a present which really touched Jian, she thanked Ann before moving to mina who was standing by the snack bar
"Hey mina" she greeted almost startling the girl
"Oh hey jian, happy birthday" mina wished pulling out a little box from her bag
"You didn't have to" jian said taking the gift, she was truly grateful that they came and even brought gifts even though she wasn't that close to mina
"Oh it's your birthday, i absolutely have to" mina said, jian smiled thanking mina, the way mina said that didn't settle well with her but she just brushed it off. Jian wanted to go to Fiona last but before she could reach seth the guy got up walking to the corner to pick up a call, jian sighed looked like she'll have to face Fiona alone and low-key that terrified her
"Jian" Fiona called out before jian could say anything
"Happy birthday" she said going straight to the point, she handed her a gift bag and before jian could thank her or say anything she cut her off
"Your welcome and I'm here to apologize meet me at the back in 30 if your free" she said walking off to take a seat, jian was stunned but nonetheless walked back to Rita and julliet who were fixing the Bluetooth to connect the music
"Here" Rita said handing her two boxes it was from her and Juliet
"Guys" jian whined but had the biggest smile on her face, today was the best day ever for her
"Where's my gift" she turned to chole, who just hugged her
"I'm your gift, my existence is enough" she boost which left jian and the rest laughing, jian wasn't expecting a gift not only was their preparation enough but they're friendship was enough too but to her surprise chole actually pulled out a gift box
"Chole" jian complained but chole pretended not to hear shoving it into her hand before walking off. Jian put all her gift in one corner she'll open it later at home.
