Chapter 4: Crushing the Past

Chapter 4: Crushing the Past

Xiang Wei stood frozen, his face pale as the shattered glass reflected his trembling form. The confidence he once had was gone, replaced by a deep, suffocating fear. He had mocked Ye Tian for years, humiliated him in front of Su Qingyue, and never once considered that the weak fool from the past could ever rise above him.

But now, standing before him, Ye Tian exuded a power that felt immeasurable—otherworldly.

"You... What the hell did you just do?!" Xiang Wei stammered, stepping back. His mind struggled to grasp the reality before him.

Ye Tian didn't answer. He simply took a step forward, and the sheer weight of his presence caused the room's temperature to drop. The invisible force pressing down on Xiang Wei was unbearable. His knees buckled, and for the first time in his privileged life, he felt utterly helpless.

"You called me a failure," Ye Tian said, his voice calm but filled with an undeniable authority. "You ridiculed me. Treated me like a joke. But now? You are the joke."

Xiang Wei gritted his teeth, trying to maintain some semblance of dignity. "Do you think power alone means everything? I'm from the Xiang family! You think you can just walk in here and—"

Before he could finish, Ye Tian vanished from sight.

BAM!

In an instant, Xiang Wei's body was slammed against the wall, his breath escaping in a choked gasp. Ye Tian's hand gripped his throat like an iron vice, lifting him off the ground.

"I don't think," Ye Tian whispered, his eyes glowing with an ancient, terrifying light. "I know."

Xiang Wei clawed at Ye Tian's arm, his face turning red from lack of air. "P-please... Ye Tian... I..."

Ye Tian smirked. How quickly the mighty beg.

With a flick of his wrist, he threw Xiang Wei across the room, sending him crashing into his expensive desk, which splintered under the impact. Papers and electronics scattered everywhere.

Xiang Wei groaned in pain, barely able to move. He had never felt so powerless in his entire life.

Ye Tian stepped forward, towering over him like a god descending upon a mortal.

"This is just the beginning," he said coldly. "Everything you have—your wealth, your status, your power—I will take it all from you. And when you have nothing left, when you are nothing but a worm crawling in the dirt... I will let you live. Just so you can watch me rise above you."

Xiang Wei shuddered, his pride shattered beyond repair. He had no idea who—or what—Ye Tian had become, but he knew one thing for certain:

He had made the biggest mistake of his life by ever crossing him.

Meanwhile...

At a luxurious café across town, Su Qingyue sat with a few of her friends, sipping her overpriced coffee, completely unaware of the chaos happening in Xiang Wei's office.

"I still can't believe Ye Tian had the nerve to show up yesterday," one of the girls sneered. "Does he really think he can change anything?"

Su Qingyue smirked, swirling her drink. "Let him struggle. He's still just a loser in the end."

The group laughed, reveling in their shared disdain.

But as Su Qingyue lifted her phone, an incoming notification made her pause. Breaking News:

[Xiang Family Business Plunges Overnight – Corporate Collapse Imminent?]

Her smile vanished.
