A long-forgotten prophecy, collecting dust for five thousand years. Silent, ominous… and, quite frankly, not Amriel Varden’s problem.

She was supposed to have a quiet life. In two weeks, she’ll graduate from the Academy, leave magic behind, and maybe—just maybe—finally get some sleep.



But the universe has other plans.



Because one morning, Amriel wakes up with an ability she definitely did not sign up for, dark forces start crawling out of the woodwork, and suddenly, she’s at the center of a prophecy that could break the world.



Now, she’s got ancient magic stirring, shadowy figures lurking, and a destiny she’s really hoping is optional.
