This book completely took over my life. I sat down intending to read just a few chapters, and before I knew it, hours had passed. The writing is effortless, the pacing is perfect, and the world just pulls you in without even trying. There’s something about the way the author tells a story, it’s smooth, engaging, and impossible to put down. And then there’s Li Hua. I have never been so unprepared to fall for a character. The kind of woman who could destroy me in a thousand ways, and I would thank her for it. And Mo Xing??? he is living the dream life, the one I wish I had. Every scene in this book makes me feel like I should be there, in his place. The action is intense, the intrigue keeps you hooked, and the romance? It sneaks up on you in the best way, subtle, thrilling, and it’s the kind that lingers, the kind that makes your heart race in the best way possible. I’m starting chapter 15 and have already been drawn into this story. Love the story development and all the characters so far. I do hope author continues to the end. How many chapters can we expect? I hope it’s not thousands as most authors can’t keep the pace. Feeling excited and hopeful.
