Ji-Ah was halfway through reviewing reports when Evelyn strolled into her office like she owned the place.
"Busy?" Evelyn asked casually, leaning against Ji-Ah's desk.
"Obviously." Ji-Ah didn't look up. "Unlike you, some of us actually have work to do."
Evelyn smirked. "Oh, but this is important. You remember our deal, don't you?"
Ji-Ah's hand froze over the document. Slowly, she looked up, already regretting this conversation. "What about it?"
"You told me not to bring up marriage plans with my parents." Evelyn tilted her head. "And in return… I get to do whatever I want with you."*
Ji-Ah clenched her jaw. "I didn't agree to 'whatever.'"
"You agreed with no conditions." Evelyn shrugged, crossing her arms. "So technically, I can do as I please."*
Ji-Ah narrowed her eyes. "What do you want now?"
Evelyn grinned. "Clear your schedule tonight."
"Excuse me?"
"We're going on a date."
Ji-Ah scoffed. "I don't have time for—"
"You do." Evelyn cut her off smoothly. "I already told your assistant you'd be leaving early."*
Ji-Ah gaped at her. "You—You can't just—" She exhaled sharply, pressing her fingers to her temples. "You're unbelievable."*
"I know." Evelyn smiled, turning to leave. "Pick something nice to wear. I'll pick you up at seven."*
Ji-Ah watched her walk out, completely speechless.
This deal was going to be the death of her.
