SkyNani Ep4

"Maybe you just need closure," Mark said, taking another sip of his beer.

Nani looked at him, brows furrowing slightly.

"Maybe your feelings for Dew wouldn't be so complicated if he had actually rejected you instead of avoiding the whole situation and leaving you in limbo," Mark continued. "I'd say talk to him again—sort out your feelings once and for all."

Nani sighed, leaning back into the couch. He had a point. But was he ready to face Dew again, knowing how much their last interaction had already messed with his head?

"And as for Sky…" Mark added, looking directly at him, "if you like him, tell him. If you don't, still tell him. Sky would appreciate the honesty more than you pretending you don't know how he feels. Because whether you realize it or not, you're hurting him."

Nani remained silent, listening.

"Sky has built a lot of walls around himself, but for you? He let them down. He's fucking scared to show affection, but with you, he's trying. He's showing exactly how much he likes you. Hell, the whole of GMMTV knows how he feels about you."

Mark leaned forward slightly, his expression serious. "So whatever you do, Nani, do it wisely. Don't let him regret showing you his feelings."

Nani let out a small laugh, shaking his head. "Who knew you could be this sensible?"

Mark smirked. "I have my moments."

Wanting to change the topic, Nani tilted his head. "Enough about me. How's Ohm?"

Mark rolled his eyes. "If you want to talk to Ohm, call him."

Nani grinned. "I'm not talking about our Ohm. I'm talking about your Ohm—as in MarkOhm." he teased, using their official on-screen couple tag.

Mark sighed. "He's fine."

Nani narrowed his eyes playfully. "So when I asked about the whole falling in love with a co-star thing, was Ohm included in your answer?"

Mark let out a long-suffering sigh. "Yes, he was."

"Are you sure? Hmmm?" Nani teased, wiggling his eyebrows.

Before Mark could fire back a response, the condo bell rang, cutting off their conversation.

Nani stood up, stretching slightly before making his way to the door.

When he opened it, his teasing smile faltered slightly.

Dew stood outside, a smile on his face.

Nani felt his stomach tighten.

He had just been talking about needing closure.

And now, closure was standing right in front of him.

"Phi' Sawatdee," Dew greeted as he stepped into the flat.

Nani sighed. "The way you guys come to my house unannounced—what if I was with my girlfriend?"

Dew scoffed, dropping onto the couch. "Phi', you haven't dated in years."

"Sawatdee P'Mark," Dew added, acknowledging Mark, who got up and announced his departure.

Once it was just Nani and Dew, they played games and chatted for a while. When hunger kicked in, Nani ordered food. As they ate, he noticed Dew snapping pictures—not just of the food but also of the game they played earlier. Nani didn't think much of it. Celebrities liked updating their fans. Still, a small part of him hoped Sky wouldn't see it.

His mind wandered back to the past, searching for the right moment to bring up what had happened between them. He didn't want Dew to feel uncomfortable.

Lost in thought, Nani only realized Dew was staring at him when their eyes met.

"Is there something on my face?" Nani asked, reaching for a tissue.

Before he could grab it, Dew gently held his wrist. "There's nothing on your face, Phi'. You just look... adorable when you eat. I couldn't stop staring."

Nani awkwardly pulled his hand away. "Adorable? What are you talking about?"

Dew hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Phi', there's something I want to say."

Nani's stomach twisted. "Okay... I'm listening."

Dew exhaled sharply, as if bracing himself. "First of all, I'm sorry for ignoring your feelings."

Nani's heart dropped.

"I was selfish and stupid back then," Dew continued. "I wasn't ready for a relationship, but at the same time, I liked you. I didn't want you to move on, so I made sure you never got the chance to confess. If you never said it and I never rejected you, I thought maybe your feelings would never fade." He sighed. "It was wrong of me, Phi'. I was young and foolish. But I'm ready now."

Nani swallowed. "Ready for what?" His voice was quiet, cautious.

"To be with you," Dew said, eyes searching Nani's face. "I love you, p'Nani. I'm sorry for before. I promise I won't hurt you again."

For a moment, Nani just stared. Then he let out a quiet breath, almost a laugh—though there was no humor in it. "Thank you for saying this. I think... I needed to hear it." His fingers curled into a fist on his lap. "I thought I had moved on from you, but some part of me still felt hurt and stupid for liking you." He met Dew's gaze. "Hearing this now... I think that chapter is finally closed."

Dew tensed. "Phi'—"

"It took you three years to be ready, Dew. That just tells me I was never the one for you. And that's okay. You'll find your person... just like I found mine."

Dew's expression darkened. "P'Sky?" His voice was tight.

Nani hesitated but nodded.

"Phi', I don't want to find someone else," Dew said, voice trembling. "I want you. You loved me for years—how can you just move on to P'Sky when you only met him a little over a year ago?"

"You're three years too late, Dew," Nani said softly. "Sky has been on my mind constantly. Since we started talking, he's made me feel more confident. He sees the real me. He cares about what I love. And most importantly... he's not afraid to show his feelings for me." A small, almost disbelieving smile crossed his lips. "I think I love him."

Dew's breath hitched. "Phi'... please. I'm sorry. Just give me a chance—" His voice cracked. "Sky hasn't even told you how he feels yet. How do you know he loves you back?"

"He hasn't said it because I wouldn't let him," Nani admitted. "I wasn't sure if my feelings were strong enough. But now... I don't feel that way anymore."

Dew's eyes glistened as tears welled up. "Phi'..."

"Don't cry," Nani said, his tone lighter. "How are you going to face me once your head clears, hmm?" He pulled Dew into a hug.

Dew clung to him, shoulders trembling.

As Nani hugged Dew, gently patting his back in comfort, the door suddenly opened. Sky stepped inside, his expression unreadable—as his eyes landed on them. The sight of Nani holding Dew, their bodies close, was like a punch to the gut. His gaze darkened, his jaw tightening as if he had just walked into something he was never meant to see.

"O-Oh, Sky… what are you doing here? I thought you were with your family," Nani stammered, quickly pulling away from Dew, his voice laced with anxiety.

Sky didn't respond. He barely even hesitated. Without a word, he turned on his heels and walked out, the silence he left behind heavier than any argument could have been.
