Although Kakashi didn't press for details, he also didn't pursue the topic further, knowing that prying into someone else's secret techniques wasn't appropriate.
Meanwhile, down in the arena, the battle between Sasuke Uchiha and Gaara had reached its climax. Sasuke was fully dominating the fight, using his Lightning Release Chakra to simulate the effects of Rock Lee's Taijutsu. With his speed and power overwhelming Gaara, even the Sand Armor couldn't fully withstand the onslaught. Gaara was gradually being pushed to his limit, and it seemed that Sasuke's victory was just a matter of time.
In the end, as predicted, Gaara summoned his Absolute Defense, a move that seemed inevitable given the difference in their fighting styles. Sasuke and Gaara's clash unfolded just as it did in the original storyline, leaving Mizuki somewhat relieved. Despite Gaara's injuries, he didn't transform into the One-Tail, so the situation didn't spiral out of control.
As the sound of Chidori echoed throughout the arena, Mizuki mentally prepared himself.
"Finally... it's about to start. Everyone must be getting impatient—this boring fight is almost over."
At that moment, countless feathers began to drift down from the sky, signaling that Kabuto had made his move.
Seeing this, Mizuki immediately sprang into action, dashing towards Kabuto at full speed.
But someone was even faster—Might Guy shot forward like a bolt of lightning, delivering a Leaf Whirlwind that sent Kabuto flying into the air. Kabuto took a heavy punch to the face, and his fox mask from the Anbu uniform fell off, revealing a surprised expression.
"How did you know it was me? I didn't think anyone would notice," Kabuto said with a hint of disbelief.
Nobody responded to his question. Mizuki rushed forward, launching a Fire Bullet from his palm. Still airborne and unable to maneuver, Kabuto managed to twist his body just enough to evade the scorching blast.
"Come down here, you arrogant brat!"
Suddenly, a second Mizuki appeared out of nowhere, grabbing Kabuto's legs and slamming him to the ground. Before Kabuto could react, Kakashi appeared and pressed a kunai to his throat.
"Don't move. If you resist, I'll kill you," Kakashi warned.
Kabuto coughed weakly, a crooked smile on his face. "You think you've won? Even with three against one, you still can't catch me."
A faint crackling sound echoed.
"Not good, it's an explosive tag!"
The three quickly leapt back just as a massive explosion rocked the area, sending debris flying. Several spectators nearby were slightly injured but fortunately remained mostly unharmed.
"Damn, when did he switch to a Shadow Clone? We didn't notice at all," Mizuki muttered.
"It's too late to worry about that now," Kakashi replied, his voice serious. "We don't know how the Third Hokage is doing. Go check it out. I'll handle things here. Gaara's wounded, so he shouldn't be a threat for now."
"Got it. Be careful." Mizuki activated his Concealment Technique to its fullest, blending seamlessly into the chaos.
As he moved through the village, he passed numerous skirmishes between Leaf shinobi and invading enemies. However, with his presence reduced to almost nothing, he slipped by unnoticed, heading straight for the Hokage's location.
When Mizuki finally made it to the roof, he found that the Four Violet Flames Formation had already been activated.
"Damn it, I'm too late," Mizuki cursed.
The formation had already solidified, creating an impenetrable barrier. Even with his enhanced stealth abilities, there was no way to interfere with the battle now.
Just then, an Anbu noticed Mizuki's presence. "Who's there?"
"It's me," Mizuki revealed himself.
"Mizuki? What are you doing here? How's the situation on the stands?" the Anbu asked.
"Not good. There are way more enemies than expected. Kakashi and the others are pinned down, so I came to check on the Hokage," Mizuki replied.
The Anbu cursed under his breath. "Damn it, we walked right into their trap."
Knowing the Third Hokage was in danger, Mizuki approached one of the injured Anbu lying on the ground, using Mystical Palm Technique to treat his burns.
"How is he?" the Anbu leader asked.
Shaking his head, Mizuki replied, "Severe burns—I'm just keeping him stable. Without urgent medical attention, he won't last long."
"We can't spare anyone right now. All available forces are already committed," the Anbu replied grimly.
"I'll leave my substitute here," Mizuki said, gesturing to the Mizuki Clone. "He's skilled in medical ninjutsu and barrier techniques. Use him if needed. I'll continue providing support elsewhere."
The Anbu nodded, glancing at the clone with a puzzled expression but deciding not to question it.

On his way back to the stands, Mizuki eliminated a few more enemies with surprise attacks. When he returned, Kakashi immediately asked, "What's the situation over there?"
"Don't count on support. Things are even worse than here," Mizuki answered.
"What? Even with the Third Hokage there, it shouldn't be this bad," Kakashi said, visibly shaken.
Mizuki grimly replied, "It's not the Fourth Kazekage. It's Orochimaru, disguised as the Kazekage."
"What? How could the Sand Village not notice something so blatant?" Kakashi muttered in disbelief.
"No time to worry about that now. The Third Hokage is in grave danger. The Four Violet Flames Formation is up, cutting off all external support," Mizuki explained.
Kakashi looked around, noticing the increasing chaos. "What about the Genin? Where did they go?"
"I ordered them to pursue the Sand siblings. We can't let Gaara recover and summon the One-Tail," Kakashi responded.
Just then, a series of explosions sounded from afar, accompanied by the roars of massive summoned beasts.
"What should we do, Kakashi? Should we activate the Emergency Evacuation Plan?" Mizuki asked.
Kakashi shook his head. "There's no need yet. Iruka is handling civilian evacuation. You should head to the front lines—your medical skills are more useful there."
"Got it." Mizuki prepared to move but paused when Kakashi added, "If you can, check on the Genin. Make sure they're safe."
Nodding, Mizuki vanished into the chaotic battlefield, his thoughts racing as he prepared for whatever was about to come next.
