Chapter 5 - Hunters' Guild

Shortly after talking with Saeko, White Night took her for a bath together. After the bath, they went to the bedroom and, already at home, White Night relaxed considerably and invited Saeko for another night of love.

The next day, Saeko woke up to the smell of food being prepared by White Night. Yesterday, she got quite tired and ended up waking up later. Shortly after they started having breakfast, Gwen knocked on the door. White Night could already imagine who it was from the knocks on the door. Despite having Saeko at home, he didn't panic; he had already warned Gwen that, even if she got a little upset, it couldn't be helped, and his abilities would only increase the number of people.

After opening the door, Gwen entered and immediately saw Saeko. She couldn't help but be surprised; she expected White Night to find other family members, but not so quickly. She became a little resentful. Noticing the strange atmosphere, Saeko took the initiative to introduce herself to Gwen. Not to be outdone, Gwen also set aside her doubts for the moment to show her position as the eldest in the family. Saeko was very cooperative; as a Japanese woman who grew up in an environment where the husband is highly respected, she wouldn't do anything that would make White Night uncomfortable.

White Night, seeing the two talking harmoniously, couldn't help but relax. He was afraid of entering a conflict situation. After the three of them got ready, they went to buy some necessities that were missing for him and Gwen, and new things for Saeko.

After doing everything, they went to the hunters' guild. As members of individual teams, they didn't need to show their faces to better protect themselves against disputes; only the captain had to have an open registration to be the team's guarantor. So, he asked Saeko and Gwen to wear masks. Everyone knows that women always attract unnecessary attention, but even with masks, Gwen and Saeko's bodies couldn't help but show their charms. Most men still looked at them with lust. White Night couldn't do anything about this, as long as they didn't cross the line.

Arriving at the counter, White Night said, "I'm here to register a new team to do dungeon dives." The receptionist was initially surprised by White Night's charm; there's no denying that with an S-level charm, most women would have a good impression of him. But, seeing the two beauties behind him, she managed to control herself. "Alright, but you need a captain as a guarantor for the team members. At least, an A-level talent. The other members can be registered or keep their identities secret by the team, but once they cause any problems, the captain will have to be responsible for them."

White Night had already taken the test at school, so he wouldn't need to test again. Explaining to the receptionist, she pulled up the system and confirmed that he would be the team captain. After registering the team, she asked him to give the team a name. "White Night Family." After thinking for a moment, White Night could only think of this name. The receptionist wasn't surprised; many people use their name for the team, it's a way to become famous.

Then, she began explaining what they needed to understand as a newly formed team. First, since the team is starting now, they would begin at level F, the lowest. Teams go up to level SSS. She also explained that they could join a guild to have access to some private guild portals or better resources for growth. Currently, there are 12 super guilds in the world. The rest are medium and small guilds. The hunters' association also provides access to portals around the city, scheduling through the app or at the guild headquarters. There are also some beginner portals.

After everything was done, White Night asked her to check if there was any portal they could use now. "The association does have some F-level portals here for you to use, but I recommend you have at least 5 people on the team before entering the dungeon. Currently, we have 3 F-level portals available: the Goblin, Slime, and Kobold dungeons." The receptionist was very attentive, explaining the dangers and the dungeons available for their level now. "We're sure we three will go to the Goblin dungeon." After hearing the receptionist's explanation, White Night already had his choice. He had already done some research before. Gwen and Saeko wouldn't oppose his instructions; after all, he was the family leader.

If he always had to consider their opinions, it would be fine now, but as the family grows, it will become increasingly complicated. It's good for him to get used to a firmer command now so that, in the future, he avoids many problems. As long as he doesn't put them at risk or do something to displease them, they naturally wouldn't complain about White Night's actions.

After making the reservation, the receptionist sent the passport to enter the portal to his cell phone and indicated the direction. Arriving at the portal areas, they saw several portals separated by various colors, indicating the danger level (F=Blue, E=Yellow, D=Green, C=Red, B=Gold, A=Purple, S=Black; above that, it hasn't appeared or been disclosed to the public). They went to the blue portal section and showed the passport on their cell phone to the security team. There weren't many people in front of the portals, which allow joint access, where each team enters a separate instance at the same time, making it much easier.

After the team confirmed the entry passport and which portal they would enter, they repeated the security measures for them to confirm whether they would enter as three or look for more companions. After they confirmed it would only be the three of them, the team guided them to the portal entrance.

White Night was surprised when he got close to the portal; he could feel the energy emanating from it. Saeko was very excited at the moment, she couldn't wait to start cutting down enemies. Gwen was eager to get stronger, she didn't want to be a burden to White Night, especially after Saeko; she was feeling anxious, she could feel that Saeko was very powerful. Seeing White Night entering, they followed closely behind.

As soon as they passed through the portal, they found themselves in a semi-dark cave. "Be careful, goblins are known for their cunning, they are always in groups or setting traps, but compared to other monsters, they are the weakest or easiest to kill at this stage, for you to gain grace." As soon as White Night finished speaking, Gwen and Saeko nodded very seriously; they knew the dangers and wouldn't joke around in the dungeon.

As they advanced, they soon saw the first group of goblins, 4 or 5. "You will be the main attack force to accumulate grace, I will only shoot as needed and provide support." White Night explained to them that, since he can only improve through cores and they through battles, it's better to let them fight to maximize gains.

Saeko took her sword and advanced very quickly; she was already used to killing zombies. With a quick cut, she had already crippled a goblin in the leg and ran to the next one. Seeing Saeko so proficient in fighting, Gwen became a little apprehensive and quickly gathered courage, pulling out a dagger she decided to use. She ran towards a goblin. White Night didn't stand still; they weren't strong enough to handle any situation yet, but he didn't kill the goblins, he did the same as Saeko, crippling a goblin to balance the situation.

After Gwen finished off the first goblin, she gained more courage and quickly finished off the one Saeko had paralyzed. After a quick fight, they had more or less understood how to fight goblins. After all the goblins were killed, they started to arrange the loot. The monsters won't disappear; they simply have to open the monsters' heads to look for magic cores. It was also at this moment that White Night found it strange: all the monsters had magic stones, normally there's a 20 to 30% chance of having them.

With doubts in their heads, they continued to advance, and as they killed more, Noite Branca also confirmed that his drop rate was almost 100%. He looked at his panel and thought about his luck; it seems this is where it shows its difference. He knows that magic cores are luck drops. He thought about it, but let it go; he still needs to confirm it later.

As they go deeper, the cave becomes more spacious and more monsters appear together. After more than 2 hours of hunting, they were exhausted and sat down in a part that they had cleared. "You fought very well, let's rest a bit and then continue, let's eat something too." After finishing speaking, White Night took out some water bottles to clean themselves and some food for them to eat. Saeko and Gwen quickly cleaned themselves and took something to eat; they were very tired from the first intense fighting experience.

Saeko was in better shape as she was already accustomed to this. Gwen, being the weakest, was very tired. She was holding back from showing weakness in front of White Night, but he was already aware of her situation, though he said nothing. He also knew it was temporary; once she upgraded, she would grow rapidly.

In this part of the dungeon, White Night was also actively participating in the fights, as there were many monsters. They had to conserve energy for the boss and couldn't get too tired. As they fought, they gained more experience. Gwen quickly adapted to the dungeon and could now work as a team with them, making the slaughter much easier. White Night, despite not gaining grace to improve, gained a lot by improving his basic skills.

Shortly after almost 3 hours, they reached the boss room. Looking at the door ahead, they decided to rest a little more. Now, they realized the importance of having more teammates. They were under pressure due to the large number of monsters; if there were more people, it would be easier. White Night had already decided that after this dungeon, he would find more family members to explore dungeons more easily. He was also afraid of Saeko and Gwen getting hurt due to fatigue.

Looking at the two girls, he said, "Saeko, Gwen, now we'll face the boss. Saeko and I will be the main damage dealers. Gwen, you'll play the role of an assassin, harassing the boss and dealing damage from behind." Saeko nodded, and Gwen also knew this was the best way; she was still too weak.

Getting up and putting things away, White Night went ahead, followed by the two behind. Opening the boss chamber door, the atmosphere was quite tense. As soon as they entered, the door closed behind them, the chamber lights turned on, and the three looked ahead with tension. The boss was standing at the end of the chamber with 3 elite mobs and some goblins.

Looking at the situation ahead, White Night knew he had underestimated the dungeons. Using appraisal on the boss, he could see:

Name: Goblin

Race: Goblin King

Strength: E

Agility: F+

Intelligence: F

Physique: E

Other hidden skills.

White Night and Gwen could see the boss's stats and were surprised: strong for beginners, very strong. Only with a good team could they easily pass the dungeon. He looked at the elite mobs:

Name: Goblin

Race: Goblin

Strength: F+

Agility: F

Intelligence: F

Physique: F+

Other hidden skills.

After thinking for a moment, he said, "Saeko, I'll hold the boss. You deal with the weaker ones first, then the stronger ones. In the end, we'll face the boss together. Gwen, you provide support for her." After speaking, he ran towards the boss to draw his attention. Saeko followed closely; she knew she couldn't hesitate in this situation, she needed to deal with it quickly.

As soon as he reached the boss, he was met with a blow. Taking advantage of his size, which was smaller than the boss, he quickly dodged. Despite having the same speed, due to his size, he still had an advantage, but now he could only hold on by dodging, without direct confrontation. Saeko arrived quickly, killing or paralyzing the smaller goblins. Gwen came next, helping to clear the field. As soon as they finished killing the smaller goblins and were about to move on to the elite mobs, they saw White Night being hit by the boss, because 2 elite mobs, with no one to deal with them, hindered his dodge.

He used the blow to move away from the boss and gain some breathing space. Saeko approached him. "Are you okay?" Saeko asked worriedly. White Night nodded; he managed to cushion the blow, so he wasn't badly hurt. He asked Saeko to finish off the monsters faster with Gwen and ran towards the boss again. Saeko and Gwen didn't lag behind; they were also hurt, but only some scratches from dodging many goblins. When they managed to kill the last elite mob, White Night was in a fierce fight with the boss. He couldn't hurt the boss. Saeko and Gwen were also quite tired, but they knew they had to finish this quickly.

With Saeko's arrival, the pressure on White Night significantly reduced. He was soon able to counterattack, and with Saeko's help, the boss became riddled with wounds. Gwen was also harassing, which made the boss even more enraged.

After fighting the boss for another 15 minutes, they finally managed to finish it off. The three sat on the floor, exhausted and with a lingering fear. They realized they had greatly underestimated the dungeons, but they also gained a lot. With just the cores, White Night would be able to make a significant upgrade.

After resting a bit, they began collecting the loot. Once finished, they left the dungeon. The staff was a little surprised by their time; with only 3 people, it should have taken longer. The three didn't say much, just nodded to the staff and left.

They went to the monster item sales shop. White Night sold the materials he wasn't going to use, as there was no point in keeping them. He kept only the cores for now. By selling everything, he got a good amount of money: 4,000 core coins. This is the current currency, made from cores mixed with other materials, and is now used by all cities.

He gave 1,000 to each of the girls and kept the rest. Saeko didn't want to, but was eventually convinced by him. They needed to buy more things to attack the dungeon again, but they were too tired and went straight home. Gwen also went to White Night's house.

Arriving at the apartment, everyone took a shower and sat on the sofa, exhausted. They decided to order food, as it was easier. While waiting for the food, silence filled the room.

Gwen was thinking, looking at White Night and Saeko. She couldn't fall behind, and their relationship seemed very close, which made her a little uncomfortable. She made a decision after thinking for a while.

"White Night, I'm moving into your house too."

After saying that, without giving White Night time to respond, she ran off.

White Night was stunned, then smiled and relaxed. He knew more or less what Gwen was thinking, but it didn't matter.

Saeko smiled at White Night.

"White Night-kun managed to trick another girl."

White Night knew Saeko was joking, but he still felt a little embarrassed and quickly pulled her into a hug.

"White Night-kun, I'm not tired yet."

White Night was taken aback. He said he just wanted to hug and rest, so Saeko looked at him suspiciously.

Seeing that, he could only change the subject to ease the tension and said he would upgrade their grace when Gwen returned.

After the food arrived, about 30 minutes later, Gwen returned with a suitcase. She came in and said her parents were home and she had already talked to them. They agreed, but just asked White Night to go talk to them later.
