Sophia's eyes darted back and forth, her face pale with fear. She seemed to realize that Masika wasn't someone to be trifled with.
"I...I won't bother you again," Sophia stuttered, her voice barely above a whisper.
Masika's expression didn't change. "See that you don't," she said, her voice cold and detached. "Because if you do, I'll make sure you regret it."
With that, Masika turned and walked out of the café, her bodyguards following closely behind. Sophia was left sitting alone, looking shaken and intimidated.
As they walked back to the car, Masika's bodyguards exchanged a look of admiration. They had never seen Masika stand up for herself like that before.
"Ma'am, you handled that situation perfectly," one of the bodyguards said, his voice filled with respect.
Masika smiled, feeling a sense of pride and empowerment. She had shown Sophia that she wasn't someone to be messed with, and she had protected Joon and their relationship.
But as they drove back to the mansion, Masika couldn't shake off the feeling that Sophia was still a threat. She had seen the look of hatred in Sophia's eyes, and she knew that Sophia wouldn't give up easily.
As they arrived at the mansion, Masika couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. She was safe now, and Sophia couldn't bother her anymore.
But as she stepped out of the car, she noticed something strange. There was a piece of paper on the ground, near the entrance of the mansion.
Masika walked over to pick it up, and her heart skipped a beat as she read the message scrawled on it:
"You think you can protect Joon? Think again."
Masika's eyes scanned the surrounding area, but she didn't see anyone suspicious. She felt a chill run down her spine as she realized that Sophia must have left this message.
Suddenly, her phone rang. It was Joon.
"Hey, I just got back to the mansion," Joon said, his voice low and husky. "I heard what happened with Sophia. Are you okay?"
Masika took a deep breath, trying to calm down. "I'm fine, Joon," she said, trying to sound brave. "But I think Sophia is still a threat. I found a threat letter on the ground..."
Joon's voice turned cold and menacing. "I'll take care of it," he said. "Don't worry, Masika. I'll protect you."
Masika felt a surge of relief at Joon's words. She knew that he would do everything in his power to keep her safe.
But as she looked around the mansion's grounds, she couldn't shake off the feeling that they were being watched...
