Chapter 14: Danger Approaches

Inside the cave, the alarm echoed in the narrow space like the whispers of death, each sound pounding heavily on the hearts of Kyle and the mysterious person. The mysterious person's expression was solemn as his fingers flew across the console, trying to figure out the source of the alarm. Kyle stared nervously around, his eyes straining to catch any signs of danger in the dim light. His heart was pounding so hard that it seemed as if it would burst out of his chest.

"Who on earth is coming? Is it really the Interstellar Federation?" Kyle couldn't help but ask again, his voice clearly tinged with tremors and anxiety. The image of Rain's cold face and the cold eyes of the Federal agents kept emerging in his mind. The terrifying memories of being hunted surged back like a tide, making it almost hard for him to breathe.

The mysterious person didn't answer immediately. He just stared intently at the screen, his eyes revealing an unprecedented level of concentration and vigilance. After a moment, he said in a low voice, "It's Rain's troops. They've tracked us to this planet and are searching in our direction." Kyle's face instantly turned pale. He clenched his fists, and a sense of despair welled up in his heart. "How could they find us so quickly? This is really bad."

At this time, the world outside the cave was shrouded in gloom. The strong wind raged through the valley, blowing sand and gravel into the air. The sand hit the rocks, making a crackling sound, as if it were the prelude to the impending crisis played by nature. The thick clouds pressed down low in the sky, casting a depressive and dull atmosphere over the entire planet. In the distance, Rain led his troops, who were advancing like a black tide. They were dressed in uniform black uniforms, looking extremely cold and imposing against the gloomy background.

Rain stood at the front of the team, his sharp eyes scanning everything around. He held a tracker in his hand, and the flashing red dot on the screen showed Kyle's approximate position. "This time, he won't escape again," Rain said in a low and determined voice, with an unwavering resolve. He turned to the adjutant beside him and ordered, "Divide into three squads and surround that cave from different directions. Once Kyle is spotted, arrest him immediately. Don't give him any chance to resist." After receiving the order, the adjutant quickly relayed it, and the troops soon dispersed, encircling the cave.

Inside the cave, Kyle and the mysterious person felt unprecedented pressure. The mysterious person continued to operate the spaceship's repair program while saying to Kyle, "We're running out of time. We must finish repairing the spaceship as soon as possible and leave here." Kyle nodded. Although his heart was filled with fear, he knew he had to stay calm now. He started to look around the spaceship, trying to find a way to help them escape.

Outside the cave, the wind grew even stronger, like an enraged beast roaring. The footsteps of the Federal troops could be faintly heard in the wind, getting closer and closer. Kyle's heart was in his throat. He nervously said to the mysterious person, "They're almost here. What should we do?" The mysterious person didn't answer but just sped up his actions. Finally, the spaceship's repair program was completed, and the mechanical arms reinstalled the repaired parts into Kyle's spaceship.

"Quick, let's go!" the mysterious person shouted. The two quickly walked out of the spaceship and ran towards Kyle's spaceship. When they reached Kyle's spaceship, they found that a group of strange creatures had gathered around it. These creatures were not large in size but had sharp claws and teeth. Their eyes glowed with a strange red light as they stared menacingly at them.

"What are these things?" Kyle asked in surprise. The mysterious person frowned and said, "These are the native creatures of this planet. They sense the danger and have gathered here. We have to find a way to drive them away." Kyle looked at these creatures, feeling a chill in his heart. But he knew there was no turning back; he had to face them bravely. He concentrated, trying to mobilize the stardust power in his body. However, due to excessive nervousness, it was not easy to mobilize the stardust power. It only stirred slightly in his body.

"Stay calm, Kyle. You can do it," the mysterious person encouraged him. Kyle took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. He closed his eyes and recalled those mysterious symbols in his mind, gradually finding the connection with the stardust power. The stardust power flowed slowly in his body, gathering in his hands and emitting a faint light.

Kyle opened his eyes and waved his hands. A stardust energy wave shot towards those creatures. When the energy wave hit the creatures, a dazzling light burst out. The creatures were enveloped by the light, let out painful cries, and retreated one after another. But they were not completely repelled. Soon, they gathered again, ready to attack once more.

"They're really tenacious," Kyle said. He mobilized the stardust power again. This time, he increased the power output. A more powerful energy wave shot towards the creatures. This time, the energy wave was more powerful, directly knocking some of the creatures flying. The other creatures were so scared that they fled in all directions.

"Let's go!" the mysterious person shouted. The two quickly boarded Kyle's spaceship and started the engine. The spaceship slowly rose and left the cave. However, before they could even catch their breath, they found that the Federal troops had surrounded them. Rain stood in front of a spaceship, looking at Kyle's spaceship with a sneer on his face. "You finally showed up. This time, you have nowhere to run."

Kyle looked at the Federal troops around him, filled with despair. But he knew he couldn't give up now. He controlled the spaceship, trying to find a way to break through the encirclement. Rain ordered, "Fire! Don't let him escape!" The spaceships of the Federal troops opened fire one after another, and energy beams shot towards Kyle's spaceship. Kyle quickly maneuvered the spaceship to dodge while concentrating to use the stardust power for defense.

In this tense moment, the mysterious person suddenly said, "Kyle, we can't fight them head - on. I know a place where we might be able to shake off their pursuit." Kyle glanced at the mysterious person and nodded. "Okay, what should we do?" The mysterious person quickly entered a set of coordinates into the spaceship's navigation system and said, "Fly in this direction. There's a mysterious energy area there. The Federal troops won't dare to enter it easily."

Kyle didn't hesitate and controlled the spaceship to fly in the direction indicated by the mysterious person. Seeing this, the Federal troops immediately chased after them. During the flight, Kyle's spaceship kept evading the attacks of the Federal troops. The spaceship's shield flickered constantly under the impact of the energy beams, on the verge of breaking at any moment. Kyle held the control stick tightly. His forehead was soaked with sweat, but his eyes were extremely determined.

"Hold on, Kyle. We're almost there," the mysterious person encouraged him. Finally, they saw a huge energy area ahead. This area emitted colorful lights, and powerful energy fluctuations flickered in the lights, making people feel intimidated. When the Federal troops saw this energy area, they all stopped. Rain frowned, watching Kyle's spaceship enter the energy area. He was filled with reluctance. "We can't let him get away like this. Prepare to chase in." But his adjutant stopped him. "Sir, this energy area is very dangerous. Our spaceships may not be able to withstand the energy fluctuations inside." Rain hesitated for a moment and finally gave up the pursuit. "Withdraw for now and find another way."

After Kyle's spaceship entered the energy area, it immediately felt a strong pressure. The spaceship shook violently under the impact of the energy, and Kyle held the control stick tightly, trying his best to keep the spaceship stable.
