Playing the Role – Just Another Noble Brat
Seria was still staring at me.
I kept my fake noble smile up, even as my brain was screaming "DON'T PANIC" over and over again.
She was suspicious, but not sure.
I had two options:
✔ Act normal and hope she drops it.
✔ Say something so dumb she forgets why she was even suspicious.
I went with Option 2.
I leaned forward slightly, looking at her outfit. "Oh, you must be new here. Welcome to the academy! If you need a tour, I charge extra."
She blinked. "...What?"
"My time is valuable, miss." I put a hand on my chest dramatically. "But for a fellow student, I'll give you a discount."
Seria squinted harder.
I internally prayed.
Then, she sighed. "I don't have time for this. Just stay out of trouble."
And just like that—she walked away.
I let out a slow, relieved breath.
Dodged. Another. F*cking. Flag.

School is a Waste of My Goddamn Time
So, what was my first day like?
Absolute bullsh*t.
✔ Pointless noble etiquette lessons.
✔ Math I already knew.
✔ A lecture about how "great" the royal family is.
I wanted to die from boredom.
The only thing remotely useful was the combat class—where I learned that most students here had formal training and actual fighting styles.
Unlike me, who had just been punching things until they died.
"Huh. Maybe I should work on that."
But that was a problem for future me.
Right now?
I needed money.

Selling My Monster Loot – Oh Right, I'm Broke
After escaping school, I finally remembered—
I still had monster loot from that f*cking bear.
✔ Bear Claws – Tough as hell. Probably worth something.
✔ Monster Hide – Reinforced by magic. Good for armor.
✔ Mutant Core – Glows ominously. No idea what the f*ck it does.
I found the nearest merchant stall that looked shady enough to not ask questions.
The old merchant eyed me suspiciously. "You a Hunter, boy?"
"Something like that."
I plopped the bear parts onto the counter. "How much?"
The merchant raised an eyebrow, then inspected the goods.
After a moment, he whistled. "Mutant beast parts, eh? Not bad, kid. I'll give you—"
He told me the price.
I stared at him.
Then I stared at my loot.
Then back at him.
"Do I look like a f*cking idiot?"
The merchant sighed. "Fine. Double."
I grinned. "Deal."

Feeding My Only Companion – The Horse
With my freshly earned cash, I finally remembered—
I had a stolen horse that I had completely forgotten to feed.
When I got back to the stables, the horse gave me the most judgmental look I'd ever seen.
"Oh, shut up. You survived."
It neighed angrily.
I sighed and bought it some food.
As it ate, I crossed my arms. "You're lucky I'm not heartless."
It ignored me.
I sighed again.
This was my life now.

Final Thought – Just Another Day Avoiding Death
✔ I survived school.
✔ I made money.
✔ I fed the horse.
All things considered?
Not bad.
But something told me tomorrow would not be this peaceful.
And I was probably right.
