Step One: Grab the Loot, Ignore the Witness
I stood over the mutated ogre's corpse, blood still dripping from my mouth. My muscles still burned from the fight, but the power rushing through me made it all worth it.
The system was still showing my gains:
✔ +8 Strength (Mutated Ogre Absorbed).
✔ +4 Endurance.
✔ New Ability: Bone Armor (Passive).
I could feel it. My bones were tougher, my muscles denser, and my body felt like it could tank a hit from a f*cking carriage.
But before I could properly enjoy my victory—
I felt a presence.
Someone was watching me.
---
The Witness – Who the F*ck is This?
I turned my head slightly, pretending not to care.
A man stood at the entrance of the room. An adventurer.
Tall, armored, clearly a veteran. Not just some random scrub.
His eyes were sharp, trained on me, and he looked genuinely confused.
Then he spoke.
"That thing was supposed to be impossible to solo."
I didn't answer.
He narrowed his eyes. "Yet you not only beat it—you beat it fast."
Still, I stayed quiet.
I bent down and started looting the ogre's corpse like he wasn't even there.
---
Step Two: Act Like Nothing Happened
The guy watched as I tore off the ogre's tusks, dug into its corpse for the mana core, and ripped a piece of its bone armor.
All while he just stood there, staring at me.
I could feel the disbelief radiating off him.
Finally, he spoke again.
"…That's a lot of strength for someone who was struggling earlier."
I tossed an ogre fang into my bag. "Yup."
"And now you're ignoring me."
"Yup."
"You realize this just makes you more suspicious, right?"
I grabbed the last of the loot, dusted myself off, and turned toward the exit.
"Not my problem."
Then I walked right past him.
---
Step Three: Run the F*ck Away
"Hey!" the adventurer called.
I kept walking.
"Hold on—"
I sprinted.
"HEY!"
He chased after me.
---
The Chase – Because Of Course This Would Happen
"STOP!" he shouted. "I JUST HAVE QUESTIONS!"
"Yeah, and I don't have answers. Bye!"
I dashed through the dungeon halls, my new speed letting me outrun him easily.
✔ Turns out ogre blood made me even faster.
✔ Turns out I did NOT want to explain sh*t to some random guy.
I took a hard left, jumping over a broken pillar.
The adventurer kept chasing, but he was too slow.
By the time I reached the dungeon exit, he was nowhere in sight.
---
Step Four: Change Back and Act Natural
The moment I was outside, I ducked into a side alley.
I took a deep breath, focused—
And dropped my disguise.
My body shifted, my features returning to my fake noble identity.
A second later, I casually walked out of the alley, blending into the city like nothing happened.
A group of adventurers passed by me, talking about their dungeon runs.
I yawned and stretched like some rich brat with nothing to do.
No one batted an eye.
Perfect.
---
Final Thought – F*cking Nailed It
✔ I got the dungeon loot.
✔ I got stronger.
✔ I avoided unnecessary bullsh*t.
And that adventurer?
If he ever saw me again, he'd have no f*cking clue it was me.
I smirked to myself. "I'm getting too good at this."
Now all I had to do was figure out my next move.
